Olympus E-30 Digital Camera

Olympus E-30 not only creates pictures of amazing quality, it helps the photographer to realize the creative intention.

In addition to a large number of customizable functions, this SLR camera offers a wide range of creative effects.

Six Art Filters allow you to getpictures with different moods - and this without additional lenses, filters or image processing on a PC. The effect of the filters can be viewed on the LCD during the framing. The following filters are available: Pop Art, Soft Focus, Soft Light, Light Tone, Grainy Film and Pinhole. Other creative effects can be achieved using the mode Multiple exposure.

This mode allows you to overlay several frames on each other right in the camera when shooting in a format RAW, and is available both when shooting with a sight throughviewfinder, and when looking through the LCD display. For creative work with light the camera is equipped with support for wireless flash control. This makes it possible to control any number of compatible external flashes, having them according to the necessary scheme - all without wires.

Support for different frame formats even moreexpands creative possibilities. The camera supports nine aspect ratios, including the standard 4: 3 aspect ratio, 16: 9 cinematographic and 6: 6 medium format. This allows the photographer to crop the image as needed.

Cropping can be performed through the viewfinder with a viewing angle of about 98% and an increase of 1.02x (-1m-1, 50mm, at infinity). Or with the help of the LCD display with a diagonal of 2.7 "/6.9cm and technology HyperCrystal II, providing a viewing angle of 176 °. This provides full freedom of framing and allows you to shoot from anywhere. All effects and changes to the camera settings are displayed on the display in real time.

Moreover, thanks to the support of high-speedcontrast autofocus *, shooting in Live View mode becomes faster and more comfortable than before. The image on the display can be increased by 5, 7 or 10 times, which gives excellent opportunities for precise focusing when shooting close-ups.

Highest image quality

New sensor Live MOS with a resolution of 12.3 Megapixel ensures transmission of even the smallest details. Based on the proven MOS technology, this sensor has a low power consumption, which is extremely important for the function Live View. New graphics processor TruePic III + provides the highest speed of work andprofessional quality of images. The processor implements new improved algorithms of tone gradation, noise reduction, color rendering and support for new Art Filters.

E-30 also makes it easy to get excellent framesthanks to the built-in image stabilization. The range of the system is up to 5 EV stages, which reduces the risk of getting blurred frames to a minimum. Stabilizer allows you to get a sharp shot in almost any situation: whether it is shooting in low light, or shooting at a large focal length. And the fact that the stabilizer is built into the camera body means that any installed lens becomes stabilized.

Ultrasonic Wave Filter implements dust protection. This technology was developed by Olympus and is used in all chambers of the family E-System. It eliminates the risk of damage to pictures due to dust that has got on the sensor.

Speed

Equipped with an 11-point autofocus system, also used in the model E-3 - the flagship of the family Olympus E-System, E-30shows equally impressive results of speed and accuracy of autofocus. Thanks to both the vertical and horizontal sensitivity of the sensor, the photographer gets at his disposal 44 points of autofocus. In addition, the range of the autofocus sensor is -2 - 19 EV, which guarantees accurate and fast focus, even in poor lighting conditions.

Photographers can also be sure that they are notwill miss the required frame when every second counts: the camera is equipped with the function of continuous shooting at a speed of up to 5 frames / second in full resolution (12 frames in RAW format). And for freezing motion or shooting with an open diaphragm in sunny weather, the camera offers a minimum shutter speed of 1/8000 sec. And the sync speed of 1/250 sec further expands the creative possibilities.

Simple shooting

E-30 is equipped with additional features that further improve the result of shooting. The Gradation function uses Shadow Correction Technology to prevent knocking out of lights andshadows, as well as for the natural display of high-contrast objects. A Face Detection Technology provides an optimal balance between the background and the main subject.

Photographers can see the result from the changesettings of the camera before shooting using the Effect View function. You can evaluate the effect of four different exposure options or white balance directly on the display before shooting.

Easy management and control over settingscameras are improved thanks to the LCD display on the top of the camera, which displays shutter speed, aperture, exposure compensation and other important settings. The same and other information can be seen on the main display of the camera, which also provides a quick change of settings.

Accessories for creativity

Being based on the 4/3 standard and being a part of the system Olympus E-SystemThe E-30 is compatible with a large number of accessories to further expand the creative possibilities. Lens ruler ZUIKO DIGITAL includes everything you need: from the fish eye, macro and ultra wide-angle models to ultra zoom.

New lens ZUIKO DIGITAL 14-54mm 1: 2.8-3.5 II now supports contrast auto focus. Olympus also offers two wireless flashes: FL-50R and FL-36R. And for long-term shooting we have a battery grip HLD-4, which is equipped with a shutter release button, and significantly increases the shooting time without recharging.
