A gift for yourself on Valentine's Day
A nice heart-shaped potholier, who likes to cook. You will present with your own hand-stitched tack - and you will certainly be pleased with something delicious! To sew a hearth hold, you will need:
two square pieces of cloth (for example, chintz)
square piece of batting
braid
fabric for application
thread
scissors
pins
Fold the two square pieces of chintz with the wrong side of eachto a friend, and between them put a square piece of batting. Quilt the cotton with cotton on the sewing machine. From the finished piece, open the heart of the right size and sew it around the edge with a braid. Pothaking can be decorated with applique - again in the form of a heart. For this, on both sides of the tack, pin the squares of the monophonic calico with pins. Sweep out the contour of the applique and detach it with a zigzag stitch. Then cut off all excess fabric at the very edge of the seam and sew a loop of their braid. An unusual gift for Valentine's Day is ready!

Soft and cozy cushion cushion will be excellenta gift for February 14! And sew it is not too hard, as it may seem at first glance. To make a soft pillow on February 14, prepare:
cushion cloth
material for packing (pieces of foam rubber, sintepon, etc.)
lace
thread
Open out of the fabric two details of the future pillow inkind of heart (do not forget about seam allowances). To the front side of one of the details, sweep the prismatic lace. Then fold the two parts in from the inside out and stitch them, leaving the underside of the underside of the heart. Through the remaining "loophole" turn out the pillow and stuff it with slivers of foam rubber or any other filler. Then sew the hole.
Such a pillow can be decorated in any way: embroider a cross, smoothness, ribbons or beads, decorate with applique or bows. But all this must be done before sewing lace.
In the same way, you can sew and pads for needles as a gift to a needle-lover. Only it does not sew lace, and stuff such a pillow better cotton.
Valentine's Day Gifts: book cover
If your loved one likes to read, and especially- if he carries a book with him and reads it on the way to work in public transport and at work for lunch, he simply needs a cover for books. It will help to save the book intact and safe and will remind you! To make it you will need:
coarse cloth
thread
fabric for bookmark
unnecessary plastic folder for papers
The cover for books is best made from coarse cloth- Sheeting or sacking. By the size of the book, open the rectangle for the cover, not forgetting about the folds. If you want to decorate the cover with an application - first attach the appliqué with a zigzag seam (as in making a tack) and only then start sewing the cover.
Open the back cover of both "pockets", inwhich will be inserted into the book, and detach them. Turn the cover on the front side, bend the excess fabric near the root and stitch the hem. Well, iron out the finished cover with steaming and sew a bookmark.
The bookmark is done like this: Cut out the long narrow of the same fabric from which you sewed the cover. At the end of the strip, sew the heart. To make a heart, cut out of any fabric two parts, and one more same detail - from an old plastic folder for papers. The plastic part will give it rigidity. Fold the details "layers": fabric - plastic - fabric, between the first and third layer, hide the tip of the bookmark and sew the heart manually over the edge. Set the bookmark to the cover in the right place.
