Cruel people
Sixteen-year-old teenager Finn Earl languishes infour-walled apartment on the Lower East Side. More than anything, he wants to escape from New York and go to South America to spend the summer vacation, studying the Indian tribe Ishkanani, better known under the name cruel people.
Finn's life is not as rosy as it might seem at first glance. His mother, a physiotherapist, suffers from drug addiction, and he never saw his anthropologist in his life. In an attempt to at least somehow change their lives for the better Mom Finn, Liz, accepts the offer of one of his former clients, the billionaire Ogden Osborn, spend the summer in his luxurious country house with his son.
In this world of influential people, Finn and Liz will have to face super-rich people - tribe, more cruel and enigmaticthan the Indians from the South American jungle. While Liz struggles with her addiction to drugs and tries to win back her love and trust, Finn falls in love with Osborn's granddaughter, Maya, makes friends with her older brother, Bruce, and wins Osborne's favor.
But Liz and Finn discover that for belongingto the chosen society have to pay dearly ... Knowing how Liz is dear to her son, a mysterious enemy tries to kill Finn. Liz realizes that he and his son were at the mercy of really cruel people.
