The main way of reproduction of the lobelia plant -growing out of seeds. You can buy them at any store where seeds are sold. For sowing, use plastic cups of small volume and modern peat tablets. When sown in plastic containers, they pre-make drainage holes. You can also use cassettes for seedlings.
A layer of drainage is placed on the bottom of the sowing tank(pieces of bark or expanded clay), then a layer of softened light soil for lobelia mixed with coconut fiber. In most cases, the plant begins to bloom no earlier than 2-2.5 months after sowing. In this regard, many gardeners prefer to produce early sowing in January-February, in order to have time to enjoy early flowering.
Do not forget that winter cropsmuch more demanding in care. They need special conditions as good lighting (possibly artificial), regular watering without delay and constant elimination of film condensate, which forms fungal infections. In order to obtain a healthy and full seedlings of lobelia plants, planting and care should not be allowed to go by itself.
