How to make a Chinese lantern for the New Year with your own hands

For work you need:
a sheet of colored paper
scissors

Step-by-step instruction:
We take a prepared sheet of colored paper. From one edge (narrower, where the width) measure a ruler strip 1-2 cm. Cut it with scissors along the line drawn with a pencil. We will need it later.
Then the remainder is folded in half color side inward.
Opposite the line of the resulting fold we draw a strip 2-3 cm wide. It should be parallel to the edge.
Now you need to cut through the main part, thisYou can do it by sight, but we'd better draw a preliminary strip. They need to draw each, 1 cm wide. It starts from the fold, ends at the opposite edge. To reach the drawn strip in point 3, 2-3 cm to the edge. The more strips you get, the larger and sweatier our lantern will be.

It is possible to take a paper stripe for fastening, butribbon or lace (it all depends on your imagination and preferences). In this case, on the opposite sides of the upper rim, you need to make two small holes and fasten the tape for them.
