Flower of the skin with your own hands

Flowers from the skin can be used to decorate bags and shoes, from them you can make beautiful brooches and hairpins. Making a flower from the skin with your own hands is not so difficult. There are many ways, we will tell about some of them.

Here is one of the easiest ways to make a flowerleather. For the manufacture of flowers can be used almost any skin (only not too thick). If you take the skin that was in use (say, from an old jacket or bag), wipe it with a soapy sponge. In addition to the skin we will need:

  stencils (5 pieces of different diameters, see picture);

• 
  scissors;
• 
  a thick needle;
• 
  adhesive ("Moment" or PVA);
• 
  bead or button for the middle;
• 
  strong threads;
• 
  pin (if the flower is a brooch).

To start circle stencils on the wrong side of a piece of leather. In the figure you can see an example of a stencil;the petals do not have to be made round - they can be pointed. The size and shape of the stencils can also be varied. You can also make every detail of the skin in different colors. The biggest detail will need to be made in two copies.

Cut the details of the flower with sharp scissors and we stack on each other, from the largest detail to the smallest. A thick needle pierced the middle of eachbillets and sewing parts together, we sew the middle - bead, button, buckle, etc. on the top - to sew better with thick threads, if they are not, you can fold the usual threads four times. One of the two details of the largest size should not be sewn.

Now we do base for brooch. In that great detail that we left behind,make two small holes for the size of the pin and insert it into them. We spread the bottom of the flower with glue and connect it with the base into which we inserted the pin, press it tightly. This additional layer performs two roles: it simultaneously fixes the pin and helps the brooch to hold the shape.

Also from the skin you can make a beautiful rose. But keep in mind that not all skin is suitable for its production, but only very thin and elastic. To make a brooch-flower from the skin in the form of a rose, we take such materials and tools:

  adhesive (PVA and "Moment");
• 
  gel pen white or silver;
• 
  tweezers;
• 
  scissors;
• 
  candle;
• 
  cardboard;
• 
  brush for glue;
• 
  base for brooch.

To begin with we will make of a cardboard drop-shaped petals. It is necessary to make several templates of differentsize, so that the petals can be arranged in tiers, from large to smaller. We transfer the patterns to the underside of the skin with a gel pen and cut out the necessary number of petals.

In the middle of each petal from the wrong side, apply a thin strip of glue "Moment" and fold the petal in half with the wrong side inward. On the front side, we patch and tighten our fingers well, to create a vein on the petal.

The glue PVA is diluted with water in a ratio of 1 to 1 andwe put on the wrong side of the petals. When the glue dries a little, gently take the petal with tweezers and drive high above the flame of the burning candle, holding the purl face down. This is necessary in order to give the petal shape: its edges curl in the direction of the flame and become embossed.

Now make the basis of the flower, for this we cut out a circle with a diameter of 3centimeter. We spread the "Moment" glue with the glue and the ends of the first tier of petals (it will consist of the largest petals). We paste petals on a basis on a circle. The next row is pasted between the petals of the first tier.

For the middle we collect from three petals a rose: connecting the edges of the smallest part, glue them together, and from the top we wrap two other petals. Tightly glue the ends of all the petals and glue them in the center of the flower with tweezers. Fittings for the brooch are pasted on the skin and glued to it with a flower. When the glue dries, your brooch will be ready!

As you can see, making a flower from the skin is not so difficult. A little patience - and you become the owner exclusive brooch or the original decoration for the bag.
