Crafts from acorns: sheep, photo-instruction

Make with your children a nice hand-made article fromnatural material - a sheep. Now such an article is, of course, only a beautiful toy that can decorate a shelf or table, but once in the East Slavic traditions it was a guardian, bringing health and beauty. Do such a craft for an autumn festival in a kindergarten or school, it will undoubtedly be a success for both children and adults.

Autumn crafts for the garden: lamb

For this toy you will need:

  • an acorn with a hat;

  • variegated thick thread of yarn;

  • thin white woolen yarn;

  • a piece of newspaper or magazine (several pages);

  • 4 toothpicks or matches;

  • 4 medium-sized wooden beads;

  • black and white acrylic paint (for eyes);

  • 2 pieces of white cloth for the ears and tail (3 cm long, 1 cm wide, best flannel);

  • glue (it is better not clerical) and scissors.

Make the head

Acorn, in fact, we need only forhead. The sheep have a slightly forward muzzle, and the acorn is just such a shape. First, separate the hat from the acorn. Now take a strip of flannel - this will be the ears. Carefully cut off the tips, giving them the shape of triangles, polygons or ovals, in other words, rounding them anyway.

Now drip some glue into the hat of the acorn andglue the flannel so that the two ends stick out from the spirit of the sides of the cap. Now re-add the glue, already on top of the flannel, and glue the cap to the top of the acorn. Flannel-ears was securely fixed, and the future sheep received a pretty brown beret. Draw a paint eye (two black dots on white specks - wait a bit until the first paint dries), and the head is ready.

Make the body

The body of such a lamb consists not entirely of threads,as you might think, looking at the photo. Of course, you can also use a skein of yarn entirely, but it is better to wrap a couple of threads of a newspaper sheet. Crumble a large sheet in your hands to a small ball of the size you want to see the body of a lamb (add a second sheet, if necessary, but it's not necessary to make a very dense body - let the toy be light).

Now tie it several times with a thread of whiteWool yarn and tie it to several knots, fixing the first coils. After that, wrap a lump of paper yarn, until the paper completely disappears under a layer of white wool. The tail must be made from the second strip of the flannel. The sheep have a small, thick tail, almost round; Spread glue and tightly roll flannel, like measuring tape, and then stick to the body. Attach the head to the opposite side. That's it - the fluffy body is ready.

Make the legs

Legs should be made from toothpicks (or matches, orjust planed thin sticks) and beads. On the photo the beads are the same color as the sticks, but you can take any - then the lamb gets colored "shoes". Dip each toothpick into 1 cm adhesive on one side, thread it into the bead and glue it to its inner wall. After that, insert each leg - just stick a toothpick into the body of the figure, it will easily pierce both the yarn and the newspaper sheet, and it will be good to stay there.

Put the lamb on all four legs - ifthe figure does not hold well, move your legs a few millimeters to the right or to the left. If the lamb falls (no matter how easy it is), then, most likely, her legs are either too close to each other, or stuck at a right angle - try to give them a slight inclination to the outside, then it will stand evenly.
