Flowers in the houseA room garden is a container filled withseveral plants. Pots in this way of placement are not visible - they can be hidden from the eyes inside the container or plants can be planted directly into a container without pots.

Cultivation of plants in this way (in the formroom gardens) has not yet become widespread, perhaps because many still prefer to grow plants singly, rather than in a group. Such picturesque plants as begonia blooming flowers or koleus can be grown in the same way as in the garden on the flowerbed - groups, but they are almost always kept in the room conditions in the form of individual specimens in individual pots.

Choose the container to fit intoseveral indoor plants. It should be decorative, pleasant color and interesting shape. Now plant different plants in a container filled with soil, or place small pots with plants on top of a layer of peat, sand, pebbles or gravel, fill the spaces between the pots with moist peat - so that the edges of the pots are not visible. The room garden is ready!

Your garden can be a bowl withfive small plants or be a big flower girl with a whole forest of plants, but in any case, the advantages and principles of composition remain the same. Some advantages of the garden are the same as those of the potted plant composition - the creation of a strong visual effect, the use of flowering and plain-looking decorative plants, covering the ugly bared stems and damaged leaves, facilitating watering and increasing the humidity around the crowns. But the most important thing is that in this case you are really breaking the garden.

Most plants grow better in the roomgarden, than in individual pots, for several reasons. Among the most important - higher humidity, protection of roots from sudden temperature fluctuations, water under each pot. There are dangers. Tightness means poor ventilation, which increases the risk of diseases or pest infestation. Pinch or thin the plants so that they do not interfere with each other, and in a timely manner remove rotten leaves or flowers.
