Today immersive performances are so successful that at the speed of light conquer the Western world. One of the most spectacular theatrical shows of recent time critics call the show "Returned".





The mystical show is based on the playHenrik Ibsen's "Ghosts." The name of the production follows the desire of the author himself - Ibsen said that the title of the play should be translated as "Those who returned." This work is truly a web of mysteries and mysteries. Heroes are preparing for a big event - the widow's funds will soon have to open a shelter in memory of Captain Alving. Old friends and relatives gather in the house. But the fate of the heroes tragically changes under the influence of strange events and ghosts.





The team of the creators of the play recreateda historical mansion of the XIX century, the interior of the northern countries of that time (the play was written in 1881). There, in an old mansion in the center of Moscow, guests are invited. The action takes place on four levels of the house, in each of the 50 rooms. You will find yourself witnessing a mysterious family relationship, you will feel the bitter aftertaste of the secrets of the past, which are stored by each of the twenty inhabitants of this house. It is better to read the play in order to better navigatein the plot, especially since you will not open everything that Ibsen wrote - just as in life we ​​always see a part of what is happening. The show consists of two parallel lines - the main one (according to the play) and the other - mute.



At first, only 50 performances were planned, butaccording to the numerous requests of the audience, and not only from Moscow, the shows were decided to extend until May. The directors conducted an additional casting of the actors, added four new scenes.





The total duration of the show is up to three hours,after the presentation you can stay in the bar from 18:00 to 02:00. Spectators enter the mansion not all at once, but are divided into 4 streams with an interval of half an hour. This will allow you to completely immerse yourself in the atmosphere and unravel all the secrets of the house. Spectators (from 18 years of age - this is an obligatory condition!) Receive a mask that is designed to preserve their anonymity. You yourself determine the route by which you will move around the mansion, as well as the time that you are ready to be in it.





The creators of the play warn that it is better to wear comfortable shoes and replace glasses with contact lenses.

The creation of the show was made possible thanks tothe collaboration of directors Victor Karin and Miya Zanetti from the New York theater company Journey Lab and Russian producers - Vyacheslav Dusmukhametov and Miguel, choreographer and mentor of the show "Dances" on TNT. In addition, Miguel worked on this project and as co-director and choreographer. The directors note that cooperation with him has become a great success.





Directors brought unique methods of working withactors, audience and space. Rehearsals lasted six months in an atmosphere of utter secrecy. During this time twenty actors daily got used to the character of their characters, sharpened the skill of interaction with the audience face to face, the trainings developed in the Journey Lab were held, they were engaged in modern choreography.



The composer of the show was Anton Belyaev (Therr Maitz), whose music combines various styles, innovative and at the same time fashionable sound.

Immersive performances

The card of the immersive theater -New York performance "Sleep No More". At the heart of this show is Shakespeare's Macbeth. The action takes place in an abandoned five-story hotel McKittrick. Spectators are in the setting of a psychiatric ward, in a cemetery and a hotel in the 1930s.



Creative production team Third RailProjects is known for its experimental productions in unusual locations. In their shows the authors combine theater, dance, sound and art installations, unusual choreography. The play "Then She Fell" (on "Alice in Wonderland") takes place in an abandoned psychiatric hospital in Brooklyn, New York. 15 spectators and 8 actors are divided into small groups and follow the routes defined by the directors. Here, perhaps, one of the most powerful interactions of actors and guests of the play. The viewer can, for example, brush the actress, who plays Alice.
