Candlesticks by own hands

You can also fashion a flat candlestick for candles-tablets from salted dough orpolymer clay. It can be painted according to your taste, decorated with beads or other decorative elements. You can use ready saucers, etc., as a basis for such a candlestick, coloring them with paints (for example, acrylic). In principle, flat candlesticks can be made with their own hands for stable short candles, but in this case it is better to abandon the protruding decorative elements: if they are filled with paraffin, it will be very difficult to clean the candlestick.

For thin and tall candles, provide for fasteningso that they stand smoothly and do not fall. There are also several options.

A can, a glass, a pot or any other suitable container. In this case sand is poured into the container, cerealsetc., then a candle is stuck - the candlestick is ready! You can decorate the container in the same ways as glass candlesticks for candles-tablets. But since in this case the transparency of the candlestick is not of principle, you can try painting with any colors (for example, acrylic). Still it is possible to cover a jar with a grain, sand and seashells, a twine, to sew or to connect for it a cover - in general, to use everything, that will get under a hand.

A mold from salted dough or polymer clay. Blind a suitable candlestick, dryor bake it, decorate to your liking. But keep in mind that if the candlestick is too light (or high), and the candle is too heavy, you will not be able to use it properly.

Flat candlestick. If you are afraid that the candle can not stand on its own, you can do flat candlestick with a "pin", which will stick into the candle and hold it.
