Cat's new paper

A cat made of paper to make it very simple. Such a cat can even make your child! To make this craft, you will need:

• dense color paper


• simple pencil


• scissors


• glue

First, decide what color your cat will be- Red, white, black? Or striped like a tiger? Take a sheet of colored paper of the right color and fold it in half. Pencil draw on it a contour of the body of the cat (the guide in this case is the fold of paper, a kind of "spine" of the future figure). Cut out the body of the cat - you should get to put it on a flat surface. If the cat should be striped or spotted - cut out and paste on the body spots or strips of the desired color or draw them with a marker.

From a sheet of paper of the same color, cut out the heada cat with ears and a tail. From pink paper, cut out the inside of the ears, nose and mouth, green from the eye, from the white - mustache. Glue the mustache, ears, mouth, nose and eyes to the cat's face. Tail and head to the body or attach with a stapler. You can use these seals as personal cards for seating guests - for this, on the side of each cat you need to write or paste the names of your guests.

Cat's new work: textured picture

Using the usual gouache, you can draw picture with unusual texture. To do this, paint should be mixed with salt or fine sand. To draw such a picture with a cat for the new year, you will need:

• cardboard


• simple pencil


• colorful gouache


• salt or very fine sand


• gouache stick with salt


• glass saucer or palette


• brush (thin and thick)


• scissors


• colorless varnish

Cut out a cardboard box or a rectanglerequired size. Draw a simple pencil on it silhouette of the cat. Try to avoid too little detail, otherwise it will be hard for you to paint the picture. If you do not know how to draw, you can find the finished image of the cat on the Internet and translate it onto the cardboard through copying paper. We offer you an example of such an image. Mix the color of the desired colors with salt or sandon the palette using a wand. The result should be a granular mass. Using a broad brush, paint the background and the picture frame, and draw a detail with a thin brush. To make the drawing festive, use contrasting bright colors. Before you draw the last details, for example, traverse the outline of the cat and the frame, wait for the picture to dry completely: the gouache-salt mixture contains a large amount of water, so the final strokes may fade. When the finished picture dries, cover it with a colorless varnish.

Cat of the disc

A funny New Year's work The cat can come out of old unnecessary CDs - for sure you have a couple at home. In addition to the drives you will need:

• colored paper


• permanent disc marker


• toothpicks


• adhesive / double-sided adhesive tape


• scissors


• corrugated paper

Cut out a circle of colored paper of black color -this will be the nose of the cat. The diameter of the circle should be slightly larger than the diameter of the hole in the center of the disc. Glue the circle so that it closes the hole. A permanent black disc marker is the cat's mouth.

Cut out the colored eyes and the ears of the cat. The ears are glued together from two triangular parts - a larger outer and a smaller inner one. Eyes can also be glued together from two parts (iris + pupil), and you can buy ready-made. Glue the eyes and ears to the disc - the "muzzle" of the cat.

Break two toothpicks in half - it will be a mustache. Glue the mustache on the disc under the nose of the cat. Rectangle of corrugated paper, attach in the middle, making a bow. Glue the bow to the disc. If you attach a loop from a thick thread or ribbon to a finished hand-made article, you can hang the cat on the tree as one of the Christmas tree toys.
