Corrugated Cardboard CraftsCorrugated cardboard is one of the most convenientmaterials for hand-made articles. Due to its qualities, it easily bends and twists and at the same time keeps the shape well. Often when making the most different figures from it, the quilling technique is used. Under it is meant to twist the paper in a certain way. Of corrugated cardboard, you can create a number of interesting pieces, such as, petal, cone, oval, eye, disc and others, from which it is convenient to glue handmade items.

For example, from several petals you can make a beautiful flower, or you can butterfly, which will please the eye or become a beautiful element of the composition. To make butterflies we will need:

Butterfly - crafts made of corrugated cardboard

• Corrugated cardboard in several colors. The brighter it will be, the nicer the work will turn out, but do not forget about the combination of colors.

• scissors

• Adhesive

Step 1. Our butterfly has four wings - two large and two small. For large, we cut along three strips of paper about 0.5 cm wide. For small ones, we cut strips across the cardboard sheet.

Step 2. To make a large wing, we glue the ends of three long, multi-colored strips to each other and get a long corrugated ribbon. The same is done with the rest of the strips. As a result, we will get two long ribbons and two shorter ones.

Step 3. We take one strip and begin to fold it so that we get a round disk. Then we spread it a little and press it firmly with fingers on one side. To prevent the paper from spinning back, glue the tip of the strip. At us the first petal-winglet has turned out. In the same way do the remaining three.

Step 4. We glue a large wing with a small one at the bottom. The same is done with the two remaining wings. Now they need to be connected together. To do this, we make the butterfly a corpuscle.

Step 5. Cut three thin strips of paper with a width of 0.3-0.5 cm. Two of them should be the same color. We make two discs and use a match or a toothpick to give them a cone shape so that the butterfly's body is elongated. On one of the cones, press the vertex a little inward with the match-we paste the antennae there. To give the body of a butterfly a stiffness, it is good to grease the cones inside with glue. Both cones are glued in the middle of a strip of another color.

Step 6. For the antennae, cut a thin strip no longer than 1.5 cm, fold it in half and twist it one-third its tips. We paste the finished antennae inside the cone with the depressed vertex.

Step 7. But now you can paste the butterfly's wings to the body. This beauty can easily decorate any picture and even curtains and curtains on the windows.

Cat - Crafts made of corrugated cardboard

From corrugated cardboard it is possible to make and more simple hand-made articles, which do not require the use of quilling. For example, a black cat. To do this, you need a black sheet of paper, scissors and glue.

Step 1. Cut the sheet in half. We take one half and fold it in half across. We retreat at the bottom of the sheet from each edge of 2-2.5 cm and as much from the upper edge in the center. We draw an arch over these points and carefully cut out them. We got the torso of a cat. If you straighten a little paper, the cat will be able to stand on four legs.

Step 2. From one part of the arch we make the head of the cat. Proportions should be preserved, reducing only the size. Turn it rounded down and glued to the upper, smooth edge of the carved ears in advance.

Step 3. From white cardboard we cut out small circles-eyes and paste on them black, blue or green pupils. They can even be drawn with a felt-tip pen. Glue the eyes in the upper part of the head.

Step 4. From a thin strip of black cardboard make a nose. We bend it around the edges so that it can be glued to the head. It will turn out in the form of a hook, into which you can pass a thin mustache, twisted from a white paper. The last one will cut out the tail and glue it on the inside of the trunk.
