Beading for beginners: flowers from beadsBeading for beginners is not only bracelets, as some people are used to thinking. Weaving of flowers from beads also not particularly difficult occupation. Today, the Soviet Union will tell you how to make flowers with beads from our own hands.

For the production of flowers use different techniques of weaving beads. This article will be devoted to French circular technique of beading (arcing). To make a flower in this technique you will need:

  • wire (thickness - 0,3-0,4 mm)

  • multi-colored beads

  • Wire in braid (thickness 6-7 mm)

  • threads (viscose)

  • Threads (strong and thin for fastening leaves)

  • scissors

  • small cutting pliers

  • tweezers

What recommendations about the materials for weaving flowers from beads can be given? First of all, it is important thickness of wire. It depends on the part of the flower, for weavingwhich uses wire. The outer petals are larger, therefore, the diameter of the wire should be larger - 0.4 mm. And for small inner lobes, you can use a wire with a thickness of 0.3 mm. It is best to buy wire in reels, but if you want, you can carefully untangle the copper stranded wire, after removing the braid.

The wire can be seen between the beads, so for beadwork it is better to use colored wire. You can buy already ready, and can be neatcolor ordinary wire inexpensive nail polish - it will come out cheaper. The color of the wire is selected in the color of the beads. For the stem you need a thick wire in the braid. Aluminum wire is cheaper and softer than copper wire.

To make a single sheet or petal by the French method, take two pieces of wire. One piece will go to make the central axissheet, and with the help of the second you fly it around in a circle. The wire for the central axis should be slightly thicker. The larger the sheet size, the greater the diameter of the wire.

Length axial piece of wire calculated by the formula sheet size +fixation. Approximately 20 mm of wire is assigned to the mount. Cut off the necessary piece of wire, on one axis make a small auxiliary loop with tweezers - so the beads do not slip off the wire. The end of the wire is first bent, and then pressed.

On the axis of beads are strung, the number of whichdepends on the length of the petal or leaf. When you have strung a sufficient amount of beads, make the second wire in the lower part of the axis, biting off the "tail" of the second wire with the wire cutters. Now you can start arcing. Type the beads on the second (non-axial) wire andscrew it to the axis of the petal. In this case, the wire used to make the arc, must lie over the axial, then go under it, making a turn, and again be on top axial. The axis should remain straight. In the same way, a second arc is made, it is screwed parallel to the first one on the other side of the axis. Angle of turnover depends on the shape of the leaf or petal: for a pointed leaf, you need an angle of 45 °, for a rounded leaf you need an angle of 90 °.

Number of arcs depends on the desired area of the flower element, andThe number of beads on each next pair of arcs should be greater than the previous pair. Between the arcs you can thread on the axis 1-2 beads. When you have finished weaving, bite off the auxiliary loop on the axial wire and by making a fixing loop near the tip of the sheet, cut off the excess wire. Bending the axial wire during weaving, it is possible to achieve different forms of petals, for example, convex. Then the finished elements of the flower are tied to the stem, except for the actual axial wire using strong thin threads. To give the stalk the necessary thickness and texture, you can wrap it with thicker threads, for example, viscose.

Flower in the technique of French (arc) weavingready. Once you master this type of beadwork for beginners, like beaded flowers, you can go on to weaving different animals or making bonsai beads. As you can see, beadwork for beginners is not limited to standard "bracelets" bracelets and allows you to master different techniques of weaving with beads.
