Olive soap with your own handsMaking home soap became prettypopular hobby. Soap, made by own hands, is not only beautiful and exclusive, but also useful for the skin, especially if you add olive oil to it. Country Soviets tell you how to cook olive soap.

In general, the composition of any household soap includes certain basic ingredients:

  • soap base

  • base vegetable oil

  • essential oils (optional)

  • glycerol (optional)

  • additives and fillers (optional)

Special soap base can be replaced with an ordinary baby soap withoutdyes and flavors. Some aces of soap making themselves brew the basis for soap from fat and alkali, but it is better for beginners to still use a ready-made soap base - it's easier and safer. We will offer you recipes for making soap at home in both ways.

Olive soap will be obtained if as athe base vegetable oil use olive. The use of olive oil for the skin is known for a long time, no wonder it is part of a huge number of cosmetics. After preparing the olive soap, you can personally see for yourself useful properties of "liquid gold" (this is sometimes called olive oil).

Castilian olive soap

Castilian soap is a "classic" olivesoap. It was first made in Castile, an area in Spain, in honor of which it received its name. The real Castil olive soap is made from olive oil, alkali and water. For its preparation we take:

  • olive oil - 1 liter

  • distilled water - 275 ml

  • solution of caustic soda (NaOH, caustic, caustic soda) - 130 g

  • lavender oil - 20 ml

When working with caustic soda, follow the safety instructions! Work is only necessary in a well-ventilated area, wearing a mask, goggles, gloves and apron.

Caustic soda solution slowly and gently poured into water and mix until the granules completely dissolve. Pour carefully so that the liquid does not splash. Do not pour water into caustic soda! The alkaline mixture will heat up quickly. It must be allowed to cool to 50-60 ° C.

Pour olive oil into a saucepan from thestainless steel and slightly warmed to a low temperature of 75-80 ° C. Gently pour oil into the alkali, stirring with a noise. Stir is necessary as long as the mixture does not become thick and does not begin to leave a trace (an imprint that remains if you hold it over the surface with a fork). This may take several hours. To make the process go faster, wrap the pan in a towel or wrap it with plastic wrap.

We pour lavender oil into the soap mixture, mix and pour the mixture into a mold. Cover the form with a towel and put it in a cool place for 1-2 days. Then the soap should be taken out of the mold and put in a dark, cool and ventilated room for solidification for 4-6 weeks. The longer the Castilian olive soap "ripens", the better it is.

Olive soap with anti-cellulite effect

This olive soap is easier to prepare than Castilian - it is made on the basis of ordinary children's soap. For its preparation we need such ingredients:

  • children's soap - 180 g

  • hot boiled water - 100 ml

  • olive oil - 4 tbsp.

  • coffee grounds - 4 tbsp.

  • a large sea salt - 3 items of l.

We rub baby soap on a large grater tosoap shavings turned out. Thus it is necessary to put on goggles and a gauze bandage that in eyes and a mouth the soap "dust" did not get. Do not be redundant and rubber gloves.

We pour the shavings into a small saucepan, pour olive oil, put the saucepan on a water bath. Constantly stirring the shavings with oil, gradually pour hot boiled water into a saucepan. It is best to add water in small portions and stir slowly, otherwise there is a risk of excess foam and lumps.

When the mixture acquires a uniform and ductileconsistency, add sea salt and coffee grounds to it. Thoroughly mix the soap mass for at least three minutes. Then we take molds for soap, grease them with olive oil and lay out soapy mass, carefully ramming.

The olive soap should dry for 2-3 days at room temperature, then it can be used.
