Zephirantes: care and photo
Very often zephyranthes or an upstart, like hiscalled, acquire by chance. For a longer time, the flower sits inconspicuously in the shade of more attractive plants. This is how the forgotten zephyrantes live, the care of which is reduced only to watering.
And then comes the moment when all attention is attracted only to him: among the narrow dark green leaves there is a large number of flower-stars.
Like suddenly flown by the wind (marshmallow), the flowers appear quite unexpectedly.
Each bulb gives one arrow, which reveals a single asterisk. But thanks to the fact that there is a whole family of nodules in the pot, blossoming becomes a real charm.

What you need an upstart for flowering
To see how the zephyranthes blossoms, it is necessary to provide him with good, quality care:
Find a bright place for the plant. If you take out flowers on the balcony or street in the summer, make sure that there is no rain on the zephyranthes.
Water the flower regularly as soon as the substrate completely dries.
In order to achieve abundant flowering, in winter the plant should be kept in a light cool place and seldom watered.
Transplant zefirrantes in a pot that is slightly larger than the previous one. And only when the bulbs fill the whole vessel. As a rule, this happens in the third year.
When transplanting, the bush can be divided into several independent plants and planted in separate pots. To prevent decay of the root system, the flower is not watered for several days.
For planting use a substrate of the following composition: all in the same amount - river sand, peat and fertile soil.
Zefirantes: growing from seeds
Those who wish can grow it from seeds. To form an ovary and have fruits, the flower should be artificially pollinated. Seeds are sown only freshly picked, germinate long enough. Flowering in such plants begins in the third or fourth year.
