Basket of cloth with your hands: photo master class

This wonderful accessory will surely bring a lot of benefit - in the basket you can store almost anything, and not just materials for needlework.

In this master class we will make a basket with such dimensions: diameter - eleven centimeters, height - five centimeters.

According to the pattern presented in the photo-lesson, you can make a basket of another size, you just need to scale the pattern - it all depends on your needs.

You can take for this craft art anycolors, to your taste. In addition, baskets of various sizes (which are stacked on top of each other according to the principle of a nesting doll) will look amazing. To produce one basket you have to spend quite a bit of time - only about half an hour.

To make this original basket you will need the following materials:

- two pieces of cotton fabric you need coloring, from which two circles with a diameter of ten centimeters are cut out (you can use a small flat plate as a template);

- two pieces of lining dense material, for example, thin foam. It also needs to cut out two circles with a diameter of ten centimeters;

- a strip of fabric with a width of 7, 5 centimeters and a length of 35 centimeters to fix the top of the basket;

- threads of the corresponding color;

- tailoring pins;

- sewing needles;

- sewing machine.

Step-by-step instruction for making a basket for needlework

Step 1. - Put together the circle of fabric that is the outside of the basket, and the lining fabric. Kick them with pins, then swipe in one thread.

Step 2. - Scrunch the sliced ​​circles on the sewing machine, remove the thread.

Step 3. - From above put a circle of fabric that will serve as the bottom of the basket, grind them with tailoring pins. Sweep the fabric in one thread.

Step 4. - Tear off the fabric circles on the sewing machine. The seam should pass at a distance of one centimeter from the edge. You can also treat the edge with a zigzag overlock seam. Remove the thread.

Step 5. - Sweep your workpiece around the circle. Then pull the free end of the thread so that the basket "folds". Tie the ends of the thread so that the product retains its shape.

Step 6.- Take a tape of cloth, sweep it with tailor's pins to the top of the basket face down (see photos to the master class). Sweep the ribbon in one thread.

Step 7. - Stitch the tape to the top of the basket. The seam should pass at a distance of 1 - 1.5 cm from the edge. Remove the hint.

Step 8. - Fold the strip of fabric so that it closes the edge of the basket, bend the edge of the fabric inward. Tailoring pins grip the edge of the tape, then swipe in one thread.

Step 9. - Manually gently sew the tape on the inside, remove the hint. To the finished basket you can sew on top of the "handle", so that you can easily transfer from place to place.
