How to make a cover for a notepad from a tissue with own hands: photo master class

Having studied our master class, you can make your notebook an original and unique, making a beautiful cover of cloth for a notebook with your own hands.

It does not take much effort,and possession of any specific skills from you will not be required. In addition, in our photo-lesson, we use materials available to all. So, how to make a beautiful cover for your notebook yourself?

Beautiful cover of cloth with your own hands: step by step instruction

You will need the following materials and tools:

- bright cotton fabric for the top cover;

- flannel fabric;

- thin fabric for lining;

- Two buttons - bigger and smaller;

- a small piece of rubber band for a loop;

- Notepad with a hard cover - you can take a notebook of the size that you like;

- sewing machine;

- tailor's pins, needles, threads of suitable color, chalk to mark out the pattern;

- scissors;

- A simple pencil.

By default, the seam allowances are made in onecentimeter. To determine the length of the cover, take the length of the notebook and add to it five centimeters. Similarly, to determine the width of the cover, add fifteen centimeters to the width of the pad (including the "backboard").

Step 1. - On paper, draw a rectangle with the above parameters, cut out the pattern.

Step 2. - Kneel together the lining, flannel and cotton fabric face-to-face. Attach the pattern you made from the paper, circle it with chalk and cut it out. Do not forget to leave at the same time on the perimeter allowances on the seams.

Step 3. - Tear together the flannel and lining fabric, first chipping them together with tailoring pins and sweeping. In this case, the lining fabric should be facing outward. Remove the hint.

Step 4. - Stitch together all three layers of fabric, having swept them together. Between the cotton and lining fabric inside should be a flannel. Fold the fabric in such a way that the lining and "upper" are facing inward, stitch along the perimeter. In the upper right-hand corner, leave a section of about five centimeters unshielded.

Step 5. - Carefully twist your cover with a long stick, for example, with the blunt end of the knitting needle, form sharp corners in the cover. Carefully sew the remaining area by hand.

Step 6. - Put the notepad open in the middle of the cover, bend the sides of the fabric, close it. Pin the clips where you want to fix the fabric.

Step 7. - Stitch the "sides" of the cover. Your cover is almost ready - you just have to attach buttons and an elastic band so that you can close the notebook.

Step 8. - Thread the ends of the rubber band into the holes of the button, sew the ends of the elastic band together. At a distance of about one third from the top of the cover, sew a button with an elastic band (see photos to the master class).

Step 9. - At the top of the cover, opposite the first button, about two centimeters from the edge, sew a large decorative button - on it you will put on a loop of rubber bands.
