With such poisoning, it is impossible to induce vomiting, it is necessary to give the dog a couple of tablespoons of vegetable oil, and in half an hour - a laxative.

Food poisoning in dogs is treated according to the following scheme: first you need to remove the toxin of their body with the help of vomiting, then adsorb toxic residues in the stomach, and then rinse the stomach and intestines of the dog.

When poisoning in dogs, you can induce vomiting with the help of special emetic drugs, but if you do not know the exact dosage, it is better to use improvised drugs. To induce vomiting during poisoning in dogs, use:

  • common salt - 2 tsp. on a glass of warm water (5 ml of solution per 10 kg of dog weight)

After calling for vomiting, you need to give the dog adsorbents, which will purify the stomach of the remnants of toxins. As adsorbents for poisoning, dogs use activated carbon, burnt magnesia, kaolin (white clay) or egg white. You can give the dog a slightly pink solution of potassium permanganate, strong tea, milk. Together with the adsorbent it is good to give the dog vaseline oil. To prevent the poison from being absorbed by the walls of the stomach, allow the dog to drink an enveloping mucous decoction of oatmeal or rice with fat or egg whites.

For the final elimination of toxins, the dog is washed with a probe. But if from the moment of poisoning more than twohours, the poison could move into the intestine of the animal. To cleanse the intestines when poisoning dogs use an enema. The enema is made with salted water (1 tsp per glass of water), water temperature - 25-30 degrees, at a higher temperature the toxin will dissolve in water and be absorbed into the intestinal wall. The procedure is repeated until the water leaving the intestine is clean. If the water does not leave for a long time, massage the dog's stomach.
