How to prepare juice from raspberry for the winterThe raspberries harvest season begins twice a year. The first time we enjoy the taste of fresh juicy berries in early summer, the second time we harvest for harvesting for the winter from the very beginning of autumn to the first frost.





Raspberries are very healthy berries. It contains a huge amount of vitamin C and fiber, as well as iron and folic acid (substances that are particularly needed by women).


Red raspberry is a source of ellagic acid, which possesses powerful antimutagenic properties, and, consequently, it is useful as a prevention of cancer.


Studies have also shown that eatingRaspberry lowers cholesterol in the blood. And stocks of vitamin A, calcium and potassium have a beneficial effect on the functioning of the nervous system. Therefore it is very important to store raspberries for the winter, for the period when the level of intake of vitamins and minerals in the human body is significantly reduced.

Ingredients:




  • Iyears of raspberries;

Preparation:


Before the time of making juice, keep berriesraspberries in the fridge unwashed. Before cooking, wash the berries and put them in a saucepan. Pour the berries with water in a 1: 1 ratio (one glass of raspberries per glass of water). Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and continue to simmer.


How to prepare juice from raspberry for the winter


In the process of cooking, mash the berries with a fork orpress for potatoes to make juice come out of them. Boil the mixture on low heat for another 10 minutes. Then pour the mixture into a glass jar (or other vessel) with a wide neck, using a gauze as a sieve to separate the seeds from the juice. Press the remaining flesh of berries in the gauze as much as possible to extract the maximum amount of juice from it.


If you want to make raspberry juice more sweet,pour it into a clean pan and add sugar in a 1: 4 ratio (a quarter cup of sugar for each glass of juice). Put the saucepan on a stove and bring to a boil, stirring constantly the juice until the sugar is completely dissolved. Raspberry juice is ready. If you do not intend to use it immediately after preparation, pour it into sealed containers for freezing and put it in the freezer.


As mentioned above, you can enjoytaste of raspberry juice, mixing it with other liquids, for example, with lemonade for obtaining a delicious pink drink or with juices of other fruits, such as peach, pineapple, strawberry or lime.


Also, raspberry juice gives an excellent taste andaroma of tea with ice, ideal for quenching thirst. And, of course, it can be added to hot tea during the treatment of colds as an effective natural sweatshop.
