Now radical and dynamic Peugeot 407, whose solid image combined fast and precise lines, replaced the model of the previous generation - the Peugeot 406.

In the range of motors 407 motorists are offered a choice four petrol and two diesel engines: The 1.8-liter petrol (117 hp) and 1.6-liter turbodiesel (110 hp) are equipped with a five-speed manual gearbox, for the 407 with a 2-liter petrol unit (136 hp) available five-speed mechanics and a 4-speed automatic gearbox with the system of pseudo-hand shifting of the type "Porsche Tiptron".
For the 407 with a 2.2-liter petrol engine (160 hp).s.) and a 2-liter diesel (136 hp), a 6-speed MCP and a 4-speed automatic are offered. The most demanding of the dynamics of buyers is the 3-liter V6 (211 hp) with the new 6-step active adaptive automatic gearbox of the Japanese company "AISIN AW".
