Finger paints for children
Drawing is a very useful lesson for developmentchild. It develops imaginative thinking, fine motor skills, helps to learn to distinguish colors. That's just a small child is still hard to keep a pencil or a brush in his hand, and he is greased with paint in paint. For such cases, they were invented finger paints for children.
Finger paints are intended for drawing by hands, and not by a brush. The child simply dips his finger into the paint (oreven smudges the entire palm) and draws them on paper or other material (some paints, say, can be painted not only on paper or cardboard, but also on glass, plastic, etc.).
Naturally, good finger paints for babies should meet many requirements. After all, a child can get dirty, draw a hand smeared with paint in his mouth ... Therefore, buying your child finger paints, you need to make sure that:
they are safe and do not contain harmful ingredients - if suddenly even a child tries them on taste, nothing will happen to him;
they do not form stains and are easily washed off the skin of hands, clothes and various surfaces.
Also it is necessary to pay attention to a consistence of paints. There are paints of a more liquid consistency, and there arelike jelly. Here the choice is yours, but for younger children it is better to prefer jelly-like paints - they will not drip and spread. Well, if in the set with paints there are additional accessories (rollers, stencils, sponges, apron to protect clothing).
Finger paints with your own hands
Usually sold in stores finger paintsdesigned for children over two years old. But what if your child exhibits a craving for drawing at a more tender age? Do not suppress his creative impulses. Maybe it's realistic to make fingerprints for your child yourself?
For younger children, you can make yogurt. For their preparation you need to take a childyogurt without additives and food coloring. Pour the yogurt into the containers for paints (you can, say, take jars from baby food), tint with liquid or gel food color and stir until the mass becomes homogeneous. You can use natural dyes: juice of carrots, beets, red cabbage. But it is clear that the color will not be particularly intense.
For older children (a year and a half) you can make finger paints based on flour. Their preparation will take more time andingredients, but they are suitable for longer drawing than yoghurt. It is necessary to mix with a blender or a mixer 0.5 kg of flour, 5 tablespoons. salt, 2 tbsp. vegetable oil and water (the amount of water must be such that the resulting mass has a consistency of thick sour cream). Then pour the colors over the jars and tint with food coloring.
You can also make starch palchikovye paint reminiscent of paste. They are suitable for older children who are no longertry to pull everything in the mouth. For their preparation, mix 0.5 tbsp. starch with the same amount of cold water until uniform. Do not stop stirring, gradually pour a liter of boiling water into the mass. All the same stirring without stopping, pour in a mixture of 0.5 tbsp. talcum powder. When the mass cools, add 1.5 tbsp. shavings from baby soap. Stir thoroughly, pour over the containers, add the dye and place for a little while in the refrigerator.
Keep homemade finger paints you need,of course, in the refrigerator. Before drawing, you need to get them in advance so that they can warm up to room temperature. Usually the shelf life is 1-2 weeks, but if there are any suspicions about the quality of the paints, it is better to pour them and make new ones. And if a child is very actively trying the colors to taste, Do not store them longer than 1-2 days, just do them a little.
Finger paints (though bought, though own preparation) - an indispensable thing for the early development of the child. Do not deprive your child of the joy of creativity!
