Battle horse

The film "The Battle Horse" tells about the incredible and touching friendship of a boy named Albert and his horse named Joey. At the beginning of the First World War, Joeys are sold incavalry and together with the cavalry regiment are sent to the battlefields in France. Then Albert, despite his age, too young for military service, goes to the front to save his faithful friend.
Painting "Battle Horse" is based on two works at once: the novel with the same name for children Michael Morpurgo, first published in the United Kingdom in 1982, and adapting the novel for staging on stage, made in 2007 and bearing the same name.

Interesting Facts
- The role of Joey performed fourteen horses. But the "main" performer of the role of Joey was the horse Fynder, who also played a horse named Sukhar in the movie "Favorite".
A small role (cameo) in the film was played by the author of the novel "The Battle Horse", Michael Morpurgo. He stands next to David Thulis in the auction scene at the beginning of the film.
