Beaver to chopPhilip Abrams serves as the head of the postalbranch of the Salon-de-Provence in the south of France. He dreams of being transferred to the Côte d'Azur, but his dreams will not come true. As punishment for his official violation, he was transferred to the north of France for two years, to the city of Berg near Dunkirk.



The inhabitants of the south of France consider the north to be terriblean uncivilized land inhabited by ill-bred, rude muzhlans who speak in an incomprehensible language of shti. But, arriving in Berg, Philip finds with amazement that he was transferred to a beautiful place, populated by sympathetic hospitable people. Gradually, he finds new friends and understands that life in the north is not so bad. But his wife flatly refuses to believe it ...



This French comedy was filmed in 2007director Danie Boon. He himself wrote the script for the film and personally performed in it one of the main roles - Antoine Biol, postman and bell ringer in Berg, colleague and friend of the main character Philip Abrams.
