If you want your toy to lookvolume and plan to fill it with filler, choose a thick natural felt. It is more plastic and is suitable for volumetric toys. For the manufacture of flat applications we will use synthetic pressed felt, which is usually sold in sets for sewing.
Necessary materials:
Felt (5 sheets of different colors: beige, dark green, gray, orange, white);
Threads of a moulin in color;
A piece of colored fabric;
Thin finishing tape;
Beads № 10 (0,5 gr.);
Beads № 8 (2 pieces);
Decorative button;
Clasp;
Compass;
Scissors;
PVA glue;
Thin needles.
Brooch owl with your own hands - step by step instruction
Cut a circle of radius 4, 5 cm from a sheet of beige felt.
Cut a circle of radius 4 cm from the sheet of dark green felt.
In a circle with a diameter of 4 cm, make a workpiece drawing. Separately draw details of the body, wings, muzzle.
We cut out the details. It is necessary to circle the body parts of the owl on felt sheets. Choose better contrasting colors, for example: body - gray, wings - orange, muzzle - white). Cut out details.
On a colored piece of cloth, place the wings.
Cut by stencil, making the cut out part smaller than the original by 0.1 - 0.2 mm.
To process edges of details from a fabric glue PVA.
To process the edge of the workpiece from the dark green felt with the beaded "Back needle" bead.
Billet from beige felt around the edge of the thread of a mulina green with a sewing suture.
Start assembling an owl figurine. Put a white muzzle on the body.
A simple seam sweep the muzzle to the body.
Attach the beak, sweep it to the muzzle.
Sew on eyes (bead No. 8).
With a stitching suture sweep the blanks from the colored fabric to the felt wings.
With a simple seam sweep the lower wing to the body of the owl.
Arrange the owl's body preparation on a dark green basis, sweep it with small stitches.
With a simple seam sweep the second wing to the body of the owl.
Fold the decorative tape with eyelets, take two to three stitches.
Lock with a decorative button.
To the beige base on the reverse side, sew the buckle.
To make the volume pave a little filler between the two bases.
By a simple seam, along the line of beads, to sew the bases together.
