New Year's toys from felt

Small Christmas toys on the Christmas tree are very easy to sew. You do not even have to look for a pattern, becauseyou can always do it yourself. In small toys there is nothing difficult. It remains only to decide what kind of toys you can make. But there are a lot of ideas. You can start with felt herringbones.

There are two varieties of fir-trees made of felt. The first option is very simple, when from green felt you need to cut out two triangles of the same size. From brown felt cut out smallrectangles. This will be the trunks of Christmas trees. Before you begin to sew all three elements together, decorate the felt with buttons, beads or embroidery. Then sew together the parts of the felt. While you are sewing a toy, do not forget to insert a piece of brown felt (trunk) and a ribbon in the top, with which you will hang your fir-tree, with two triangles. When the Christmas tree is practically sewn, fill it with a small amount of cotton wool or sintepon.

The second variant of the Christmas tree is more complicated. This time you need to cut out not triangles, but two figures in the form of a Christmas tree. Your Christmas tree will consist of only twoparts of felt, as in the pattern all the details are provided up to the stem and twigs. Decorate the details of the pattern with buttons, then sew the Christmas tree. Do not forget to sew a loop of ribbon in the top of the Christmas tree and stuff the toy with soft material.

How can you do without snowmen and cones on your New Year tree? Sewing charming snowmen is also very simple. It is enough to make a pattern in the form of a number "8". Cut out two pieces of felt white or milky in the pattern. Sew the parts together. If desired, snowmen can be stuffed with cotton, or leave them flat. On top decorate snowmen with scarves made of thin fabric, sew them with felt gloves, draw a face with a felt-tip pen. In general, decorate your toys as you wish.

Now you can make a bump of felt. For bumps you will need not only felt but alsospecial balls-blanks of foam. On the basis of such balls it is very convenient to make different New Year's toys. So, the Country of Soviets has already described how to make a Christmas tree toy of buttons. You will need these balls for cones too. Cut out the details in the form of droplets from the felt. Try not to make the details all the same size. Some petals should be larger, some smaller. After assembly, your cone will look more natural. If all the details are the same, the cone will resemble a fish scales.

From above, where the loop from the ribbon will be fastened,paste a circle of felt. Then glue the scales with a sharp end to the ball with a glue gun. Glue the scales on the ball, moving from the bottom up, lay the felt side by row. From above put a few pine beads on the finished pine cone, which will decorate your toy. Using the same glue, attach a loop with a bow from a satin ribbon.

By the way, the finished cone will have a round shape. If you want a toy made of felt cone-shaped, more like real spruce cones, you need a piece of foam in the form of a drop.

New Year's toys of felt do not necessarily hang on the Christmas tree. By the approaching year, Snakes can be sewn from the felt of charming snakes. Make a simple pattern of the snake. To do this, draw a snake wrapped in a ring on a piece of paper. You will also need a detail in the form of a leaflet for the mouth of a snake. This part should correspond to the width and length of the snake's head.

Now transfer your pattern to felt. The snake is cut from the felt green and yellow. A detail in the form of a leaf will be cut out of red felt. The ready-made pattern of the back of the snake (green felt) is decorated with beads, sequins, decorative seam. Sew a green and yellow part from the head to the tail only on the inside of the toy. When you begin to sew the second side of the toy, stuff it with cotton.

Now you can tackle the head of a snake. A detail of red color fold in half and sew it from the inside of felt yellow and green. Cushion your mouth with beads, glue the eyes and tongue of the snake. Your New Year's toy from felt in the form of a snake is ready.
