How to make Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden with your own hands: photo master-class

Father Frost and Snow Maiden are two symbols of the New Year, necessarily present in any decorations of the house, but especially - in the form of Christmas toys and figurines, which are placed under the tree. They can be made with their own hands from various materials, the most popular of which are paper, fabric and beads.

Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden of paper

One of the simplest options here -figurative applications based on the cone. You will need colored paper, glue, pencil and markers, compasses and scissors. Cut a large circle on two sheets of paper, blue and red - this will be the basis for both characters (in fact, the color of Santa Claus is mostly red (hat, nose, coat), and Snow Maiden - blue (cap and fur coat).

Twist the circles into cones and glue each. For facial features and small details, you will also need white, pink and yellow paper. Cut out two mugs of pink paper, larger and smaller - faces; draw on both eyes (add a little Snow Maiden eyelashes and a painted nose), glue the red nose-circle to Santa Claus and draw both smiles and blush on the cheeks.

The bottom of the mug-face of Grandpa is covered with a wide parta small white triangle - a beard, add white whiskers, closing in a beard, and glue the Snow Maiden with a yellow pigtail made of two strips of paper. Top the cones with the "caps" with the white strip at the bottom - the rim, add the same coat to the bottom of the fur coat. Now you can put them under the tree or hang on it - if you glue to the top of the cones, paper or threaded loops.

Magic grandfather and granddaughter can be sewn as ordinaryplush toys of any shape and size, but as toys on the Christmas tree the most popular types of fabric are felt and usual synthetics. The style of toys in this case will differ. Figures from felt will be flat, with simpler shapes, but in this simplicity there is laconism and stylization, they will look to the place even in a minimalist interior.

Toys on the Christmas tree from any other fabric, sewn asnamely, toys, will more likely be a more colorful and cheerful decoration. To sew the two heroes out of felt, first mark the same simple shapes as if you were making them out of paper. Use cones, circles, triangles of classic colors for the heroes, remembering that the toys will turn out to be flat, and then assemble them as an appliqué. Do not forget that the basis (triangles or cones) for the bodies of each toy is better to sew from two identical pieces of felt - so the toy will be dense.

Sew all the elements together with a noticeable seam, not hiding it, but, on the contrary, rather exposing it and at 1-1,5 mm. retreating from the edge of the smaller element. In order to sew toys from ordinary fabrics, sew first the heads of both characters and fill them with cotton, and the body - fur coats with a rim and hands in mittens of the appropriate color - leave hanging as if puppet puppets. The size of such toys is usually no more than 5-6 cm.

Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden from beads

Of the beads you can weave both bulk and flatfigurines of both heroes; for the first, a more detailed scheme will be required, and the second one can be weaved simply by drawing a diagram on its own on a piece of paper in a box. One cell - one bead. Flat figures can be used as decorations for a Christmas tree, and, for example, as key chains or small gifts for friends.

So, draw up a chart or take an existing one. For example, your Santa Claus will consist of twenty-seven rows. Distribute the colors - for example, on the edge of the fur coat, let go one row of white beads of 15 beads, and on the top of the cap - a row of red from four pieces.

Start with the cone of the body and the head with the simplestweaving, threading the beads on the middle of the wire, and then twisting its ends. Hands can be weaved out of the same wire, and simply attached separately later (in the first case, the figure may bend slightly forward).
