There is a huge number of different options for this piece of decor, because the topiary can be made literally from any material. Most often used for its creation: corrugated paper, artificial flowers, ribbons, bows, coffee beans, sweets, decorative pebbles. Since the topiary is done exclusively by hand, the cost of such a tree can be quite decent. But do not rush to spend money, because our today's master class step by step will tell you how to create a magnificent topiary with your own hands from simple and affordable materials - cotton discs. Topiary made of cotton discs will be an excellent gift for a wedding or anniversary. White roses from cotton wool look very elegant and festive, and the service life of such a tree is unlimited.
Necessary materials:
cotton wheels
white thread
glue
foam ball
piece of green felt
scissors
beads and pearls
a flower pot
thick skewer or wire
priming
Step-by-step instruction
Let's start making a topiary with flowers - wadded roses. To do this, take the wadded disk and fold it, bending the left edge by about 2/3. The right edge, too, bend, but it should be a little narrower than the left.
The resulting workpiece is rewound with a thread closer tonarrow base. We turn out a wide edge and get the real rose. Such roses we need from 20 to 50 pieces, depending on the size of the ball-base.
In the pot, we fill the soil, tamp it well and "plant" the trunk of our tree - a skewer, wire or a regular twig.
On the barrel we put a foam plastic ball and we fix it with glue.
We proceed to the decor of the topiary. On the ball-base using glue we attach cotton wool roses. They should be located as close to each other as possible so that the tree is beautiful and voluminous. 6. From a piece of green felt we cut out small leaves and glue them between pink buds.
The trunk of the topiary is decorated with a pearl thread, tightly wrapping it around a skewer, spread with glue.
Soil also need to be "hidden". We shall decorate it with pebbles.
If desired, the pot itself can be decorated with beads and pearls.
If you want roses to be colored, thenYou can use food colors or diluted watercolors. To do this, just add a couple of drops of dye in a glass of water and dip a cotton ball there. After properly squeeze out the water and allow the disc to dry for a couple of hours. By the same principle, you can paint cotton pads with watercolor. Painted roses will not only acquire a very delicate shade, but will also become a little wavy, that add to your topiary a special charm.
