Let's start with the selection of seeds. Not all varieties are suitable for growing in winter and at home. They must be self-pollinated and well tolerated by low illumination. Pay attention to the varieties Mashenka, Kuzya House, Marinda and hybrids F1: Serezha, Legend. Before planting the seeds must be germinated, for this purpose, place them for 2-3 days in a moist environment (for example, wrap in tissue and pour water). You can also shed a solution of potassium permanganate. As soon as the seeds have poured out, we put them in the soil.
Let us turn to the substrate. It should be a mixture of soil, peat and humus (2: 1: 0.5). You can also add chalk and wood ash. As a drainage is used expanded clay or broken brick. Capacity choose volumetric, for each plant should account for an average of 5 liters.
Tip: to avoid the need for picking, plant cucumbers immediately in a permanent container.
At the bottom of the box there must be holesto divert water. At the bottom we fill the drainage, then the soil mixture (we do not compact it). The land should be well hydrated. It should also be shed with a solution of potassium permanganate in order to avoid the development of fungal diseases.
After planting, cover the seeds with a film and put in a well-lit place. As soon as the shoots appear, the film can be removed. If you want to have a good harvest of cucumbers in winter, follow these tips:
seedlings are placed in the warmest and brightest place. Cucumbers are very afraid of drafts and temperature changes.
