Bronze hairy: how to fight?
Pests of plants - an eternal headache for gardeners and truck farmers. The bear, the Colorado beetle,
cruciferous flea, apple moth ... The list can go on for a long time. A lot of unpleasant minutes can deliver and bronze hairy. How to deal with it?

Bronze hair is shaggy (she is also a furry deer) Is a beetle 8-13 mm in length from the subfamily of armor-plated family of lamellar beetles. The name of her bronzed hair was received for thick gray and yellow hairs, which covered the bottom of her body.

This bronze has a matte black top of the body, covered with white or yellowish stripes or spots (the pattern can be completely different for different individuals), on the pronotum there are six spots of white color. There is almost no hair on the back, while The bright bottom, as we have already said, is covered with dense hairs.

The danger for plants is adult bronzovka - Imago (adults) furry deer feed on buds and flowers of plants and can pretty much eat flowers and even fruits. Flying bronze in the spring and early summer; if you do not fight it, it can cause significant damage to your decorative plants, fruit and berry crops, etc.

How to deal with a furry deer? A proven and well-functioning battle system so farno, because earlier bronzovka was not so widespread, and it is still unknown what causes caused its mass invasions in certain years. But we will help you with several ways of fighting.

You can, of course, try Collect beetles by hand or shake them off branches on a litter, and then destroy. By the way, to make it easier to shake off bronzebranches, you need to sprinkle the trees with cold water: bronzovka will temporarily become numb and will not be able to fly. Shake the beetles on the litter, and then sweep in a bucket of kerosene. However, this "artisanal" method is not effective enough: new bronzes will arrive in place of the collected bronzes, and you certainly have other things in the garden besides collecting deer.

The second idea that comes to mind is treat plants with insecticides. Not the best option: bronze, of course, is afraid of chemical poisons, but they are also afraid of useful insect pollinators, for example, bees that will be planted on sprayed flowers.

Therefore, it is better to replace chemical insecticides with decoctions, infusions and preparations from plants-defenders. Plants-protectors are plants thatdiscourage garden pests. These include, for example, tansy, dandelion, horseradish, wormwood, garlic, celandine, horse sorrel, onions, tobacco, tomato and potato tops, bitter pepper, etc.

You can use chemical poisons at night: in the dark, shaggy bronzehides in the ground, so insecticides can be applied to the soil to a depth of 3-5 cm. You can use, for example, such drugs as Diazinon, Medtetoks-U (at the same time you will manage with a bear), Prestige, etc.

Also The fight against bronze should be aimed at preventing the spread of beetles. The larvae of the deer hairy are harmless in themselves, but each larva is the future adult bronzovka, so it is necessary to fight the larva.

Bronze larvae live in rotten tree, so it is necessary to get rid of damaged trees with rotten wood in time and to fill hollows, in which larvae can develop. It is also very important to remove from the earth in time the fruits that fell from the trees: the larvae of the furry deer feed on humus.

So, so that the shaggy bronze does not leave you without flowers and crops, it is best to combine several methods of combating it: manual collection, spraying of plants with preparationsfrom plant-protectors, the introduction of insecticides into the ground and the elimination of places in which larvae of bronze can develop. In such a case, the damage caused by bronze can, if not be prevented completely, at least minimized.
