Very often you can see that the housewives arrange small Christmas trees around the house, they serve a table. And in this case you will need a New Year handmade christmas tree, because a large tree is not always appropriate.
Crafts for the New Year in the form of a Christmas tree are the mostpopular. And from what only do not do Christmas trees: from sweets, paper, cones, plastic bottles and beads. And it can be crafts of different sizes. It all depends on your desire and availability of materials. But there are no less beautiful versions of crafts in the form of Christmas trees, while using quite unusual materials: fabric and sisal. Let's make unusual Christmas trees from these materials.
Handmade Christmas tree from sisal
The coarse sisal fiber, which is obtained from the leaves of the tree of the genus Agava, is usually used in the production of carpets. But the bright sisal found its application in needlework, and in particular from it beautiful New Year trees are made on the basis of a cone made of foam plastic. So, for your crafts, take a Christmas tree:
- acrylic paints
- cone made of foam plastic
- sisal of the chosen color
- glue gun
- brushed and painted in the right color tree branch
- potty
- gypsum
- decorations for a Christmas tree
- floristic wire
As already mentioned, use the foam cone as the base for your sisal tree. If you can not buy a ready-made cone, then it can be cut from a piece of thick foam. Insert a floral wire folded several times in the top of the cone. To hold the wire well, fix it with hot glue. This is the ready basis for your Christmas tree.
Now the base should be painted with acrylic paint. It is best to take the paint, which is maximallyclosely resembles the color of sisal. Dyeing the foundation is necessary in order for your craft tree to look as beautiful as possible, if somewhere the styrofoam will look out from under the sisal. Wait until the paint dries, after which you can wind the sisal on the base. Start working with the top of the tree, for which the sisal should be fixed in the wire. Watch how the sisal turns lay. They must be tightly fitted to each other. Do not in any way change the direction of winding the base sisal.
The tip of the sisal is fixed on the bottom of the cone with hot glue. Now in the bottom of the cone you can insert a piece of stick, which will be the trunk of a tree. Fix the barrel with hot glue. Do not make the barrel too short, since it must still be inserted into the pot. At this stage, give the top of the Christmas tree from the wire the kind you want.
Divide the gypsum according to the instructions and pour it into the pot. Insert your Christmas tree in the pot, wait until the gypsum dries. Now you can decorate the tree with beads, decorative pins, bows. Put a toy on the top. From top to plaster, put some sisal, you can additionally decorate with sweets or small toys in the form of gifts.
Making a Christmas tree out of cloth
Here's another idea of a New Year's craft by your own hands. This time we will use a fabric and a rigid base for the Christmas tree. You will need:
- metal pin
- wooden round or square base
- piece of cloth with a width of 45 cm
- joiner's glue
For this fake tree, it is very important to take the cloth (the pattern looks good in the cage), which will be uniformly colored from the front and the underside. This piece of tissue must be torn (namelytear, not cut with scissors) into long strips. The width of each strip is about 3-3.5 cm. From one piece you should get 13 strips of fabric. Obtained strips of tissue will need to be cut into several parts.
To make a Christmas tree, cut the first 6 bands into3 equal parts. Cut five more strips of fabric into 4 parts: 1 piece 30 cm long, 3 pieces 25 cm each. Cut the remaining fabric strips into 5 parts: 1 piece 25 cm long and 4 - 22.5 cm long.
Finished strips of fabric you need to expand along the length. The longest will go for the foundation of the tree, the middle ones for the middle, the short ones for the top. Tie the usual knot of the fabric strip to the metal pin. When everything is ready, move the knots on the pin as close as possible to each other.
In a wooden base, make a hole for the pin. Insert the pin into the hole, fix it with the joinery adhesive. From above decorate your Christmas tree with a metal star (you can do with any other decoration, if only it keeps the fabric well on the pin) and a bow from raffia.
So your charming Christmas tree craft is ready. Decorate it with your festive table, and let your New Year party will be more cheerful and noisy than ever.
