Pay attention to the cat's diet. British chinchillas can be fed with dry food (choose only well-established firms) or ordinary food. Do not mix ordinary food and dry food.



If you prefer natural food, then feed your kitty meat and fish. From meat dishes, give the cat a chicken, a turkey,beef or rabbit. You can give both raw meat, and scalded. Fish can only be given sea, but not more than twice a week. In small quantities, you can give the cat cooked by-products: liver, heart, kidneys, lungs. If you give your chinchilla vitamins, then choose additives that do not contain biotin. Biotin promotes lengthening of wool, which is undesirable for a British chinchilla.



British silver chinchilla



British silver chinchilla - these are the most beautiful cats that conquered us with their unusual fur coat. By standards, two colors are distinguished: BRI ns11, BRI ns12. BRI ns11 - this is an ordinary silver chinchilla, the coat of which is painted 1/8 part black. BRI ns12 Is a silver-shaded chinchilla. The wool of such cats is 1/3 black. Only the length of the dyed hair distinguishes these two colors of silver chinchilla from each other. So, for a silver chinchilla is characterized by a light veil of black color on the head, back, sides, legs and tail. The silver-shaded chinchilla is distinguished by the darker color of the wool.



A distinctive feature of silver chinchillas is that genetically these cats should be black. This is due to black paw pads, fringing of mucous and emerald green eyes. British Gold Chinchilla

The golden chinchilla has an incredibly beautiful golden color coat. Like the silvery color, the wool of the gold chinchilla is only painted over a certain part of the length of the hair. A light blackish veil is characteristic for the back, sides and tail of a cat. But the chin, chest and stomach of the cat are painted in a delicate apricot color. The rims of the mucous in gold chinchillas are not black, but dark brown.
