How to cook celery for winter - recipes
In root crops and greenery of celery contains verymany vitamins and beneficial properties. Of course, it would be good to use it in your daily diet, but not all stores are found this vegetable plant.
But celery is extremely desirable to eat and in the winter months, when the body particularly needs nutrients. Therefore, it is best to prepare it for the winter on your own.

Celery, no matter how much it grows on the site, there is always an application: it is preserving tomatoes, and adding greens to soups, and the use of frozen root vegetables in various dishes.
Leaves and roots can be stored as long as desired in a fresh form, using then in salads as an ornament or seasoning.

Dry in the sun or in a warm place, preferably well ventilated. The celery is stored in this way in a glass container with a closed lid.
Recipes for long-term storage of roots
For longer storage of root crops, there are special tricks:
- Take plastic bags or boxes of woodwith solid walls, put in them root crops, top with a sand of centimeter to 2-3, and then put the boxes or bags in a cool place. It is important that the temperature in the storage does not exceed +1 degree, and the humidity is high enough (up to 90%).
- Stab the roots vertically in the sand, while the petioles should protrude to the surface, and then store in this form in a dark cool place (cellar).
- Make a mass of clay creamy in density, all celery roots dipped in clay, slightly dried and stacked in a cool place.
How to prepare leaf celery for winter
- The simplest method of harvesting is drying. Leaves must be tied into bundles, weighed in the room, dried in this way, and after the drying is done, make the powder green. The seasoning is perfect for soups and sauces.
- Choose good fresh leaves, carefullywashed, dried and finely chopped. After that, mix them with salt (for 1 kg of leaves about 200 g of salt) and put in jars. As soon as the juice begins to act on the surface, we put the jars on the lids and put them in a dark cool room.
- If you really want to keep the leaves green and fragrant until the winter months, in that case, freeze them in special ice molds and store in the freezer.
