Valentina Oseeva "Dinka"
There are two signs of a good children's book: it remains relevant over time, and it is read with pleasure by both children and adults. "Dinka" Valentina Oseeva meets both criteria and remains a favorite children's book of not one generation of readers.
Childhood Decade of Dinki falls on hard times - right after the 1905 revolution. Her father is an underground revolutionary, forced to hide, and her mother has to provide for her family and raise three daughters.
Dinka is a "difficult child". Stubborn, self-willed, restless, loving(though not from harmfulness, but because of its violent fantasy), she delivers a lot of trouble to her mother and aunt. But at the same time Dinka has a very kind heart, and if she wants, she knows how to be a real friend. It seems that two completely different people get along in Dink.

The events of Valentina Oseeva's book "Dinka" take place at their dacha on the Volga, where the Arsenyev family moved to summer. It is there that Dinka gets acquainted with homeless orphan Lenkoy, who then becomes her best friend. It is there that Dinka begins to grow up and learn her first life lessons - sometimes not very pleasant.
It may seem that Dinka by Valentina Oseeva is a book about the revolution, and in our time it is morally outdated. But the meaning of the book is not in revolutionary events. "Dinka" is a book about friendship and devotion, the ability not to lose heart in difficult situations and to sacrifice oneself for the sake of others.
Dinka is not an ideal child, and by that she is beautiful. She does a lot of stupid things, at times greatly offends relatives and friends, stuffs cones - but it helps her to become better. She grows up and learns to overcome her own shortcomings. It is not easy, there are failures, but always there are always her family and friends who are ready to help Dinka.
"Dinka" Oseeva is one of those books that I want to return to again and again, constantly discovering something new. A ten-year-old reader will find out in Dinka himself, will get sympathetic towards her and, perhaps, even draw some conclusions, even if they are not conscious. Fifteen-year-old Dinka may seem ridiculous at first, but he also has something to learn from it - at least that childish immediacy, which we often lose with age.
But also other Dinky heroes have something to learn. Dinkina's mother Marina - spiritual strength and faithin the best. Her sister Katya has the principles and the ability to sacrifice herself for the sake of close people. In the middle sister of Dinka, Mouse - sympathy and compassion. The elder sister, Alina, has responsibility and seriousness. The orphan Lyonya - perseverance and loyalty.
The story of Valentina Oseeva "Dinka" is sure to please the widest circle of readers. This is one of those books that do not become obsolete over time - because the things Oseeva wrote about are not subject to time.

Quotations from the book
"Now let's go," Lyonka said kindly.
The girl did not resist, but, after a fewsteps, stopped, uncertainly looking back ... Lyonka, leaning over her, said something. Dinka obeyed and, holding on to his hand, quietly went alongside. Then she stopped again, and again he said something to her ... Then their children's figures became confused in the crowd and disappeared from their eyes ...
The sisters were silent for a long time. Then Marina lifted her astonished eyes, not their sisters:
- It was the same boy ... It's a pity if they saw us ...
"They did not see ... She did not see anything because of tears, and he saw nothing but her tears," Katya said quietly. "
"Sleep is a great gift to man on earth; true,he loves cheerful and healthy people, well-run in a day, but he pities those who are tormented by worries or oppressed by grief. With such people, the dream fights for a long time, closes their eyes, puts their heads on pillows ... And they again open their eyes, and their pillows become wet with tears. But the dream does not lose patience. Shrouded in the dusk of the night, he penetrates to the very head of the exhausted man, his wet eyelashes dries with warm breath and quietly drops them down. "Sleep, sleep, tired man! Over the night I will make you stronger and stronger, I will smooth and soften your bitter thoughts ... Let the clock go - this is moving ahead of time, and time, like a river, carries with it all the sorrows. Sleep, sleep ... "
