Yorkshire Terriers were withdrawn in Yorkshire, England, in the secondhalf of the XIX century for hunting small rodents. The adult dog grows to 20-23 cm in height, and its weight can reach 2-3 kg. They live 12-15 years. Yorkshire terriers have a flat back, the tail is high, the ears are small, standing, shaped like a letter V. The bite of these dogs is even or scissor-shaped. The yorkshire terrier's fur is long, straight, silky to the touch. Yorkshire Terrier puppies are born in brown and black, but growing, they acquire a characteristic color for the breed: golden brown hair on the head, chest and legs and wool of steel color from the neck to the tail.


Character of Yorkshire Terriers very interesting. These dogs are very active, curious, bold, attached to the owners. But at the same time, Yorkers have some degree of independence. Puppies age up to six months are fed 4 times a day, puppies up to 10 months - 3 times, adult dogs can be fed 1 time per day (preferably at 14-16 hours).


Always need to carefully monitor the health of the pet. Yorkshire Terriers are subject to such diseases as diarrhea, vomiting, hypoglycemia. Terriers may have problems with the eyes, if not give them due attention.
