Comfort and comfort in your apartment is everyone's dreamrights. But there can be no talk of any kind when neighbors from the top have arranged a party with loud music and dances, and neighbors from the bottom have started repairs and from morning to night knock with a hammer or drill holes with a perforator. At the same time from the street now and then comes the rumble of a passing transport, a drunken gulp, "songs" of March cats ...
Meanwhile, the need for a person in silence is notonly psychologically, but also physiologically justified, because with noise above 40 decibels a person can no longer rest, and noise exceeding 85 decibels is dangerous to health. How to be? The only correct way is to soundproof the apartment!
Sound insulation is, in short, the decoration of the walls,floor and ceiling apartment sound absorbing materials. In addition, for complex noise insulation it is necessary that windows and doors also absorb maximum noise. The highest level of noise insulation can be achieved if this is taken care of even at the construction stage of the building. After all, the level of noise absorption depends on the type and thickness of the material from which the walls of the building and the internal ceilings are made.
The thicker the wall, the more noise it absorbs. But for effective sound insulation in typical panel houses, for example, the existing wall thickness should have been added from a half meter of concrete. Therefore, for noise isolation, special partitions and substrates of sound-absorbing materials are used.
The type of noise insulation of an apartment depends on the type of noise,from which it is necessary to "get rid". All the noise penetrating the apartment can be divided into two types: shock and air. Shock noise gives the sounds of falling objects, moving furniture, trampling feet from neighbors from above. Therefore, if these neighbors did not take care of the sound insulation of their floor, then it is necessary to improve the sound insulation of their ceiling. For these purposes, you can use suspended ceilings from a special drywall, stretch ceilings with a high sound absorption coefficient.
Other noises - air - created by votespeople, included household electrical appliances, i.e. are transmitted directly through the air fluctuations. Sources of air noise in the apartment - it's too thin walls, uneven joints between panels, through holes for electrical outlets, etc.
Sound insulation of walls at the repair stage can beperform with the help of sound absorbing mineral wool, special wood boards or sandwich panels. The principle of operation of sound-absorbing structures consists in alternating rigid layers of gypsum board, gypsum fiber or brick and layers of a soft sound absorber. Each layer reflects some of the sound waves, each subsequent - the remaining. The more layers - the higher the efficiency of the sound-absorbing structure.
To improve the noise insulation of the apartment, you can alsothe more reliable sealing of joints between walls and floor, walls and ceiling, joints between panels. For these purposes, an ordinary silicone sealant is suitable. Also should pay attention to the risers of water supply and heating. If there are cracks between the pipes and the wall, then through these cracks also penetrate the sounds. Therefore, all holes and cracks around the pipes should also be carefully sealed.
In panel houses often reinforced concrete slabshave through holes, specially for electrical outlets. In such cases, the outlet becomes an excellent conductor of noise between neighboring apartments. As an option, you can transfer the outlet, and seal the hole and cover with a solution. But this work requires certain skills of working with electricity, so it is better to entrust it to professionals. You can also soundproof the sockets through special gaskets made of asbestos cloth or mineral wool.
From extraneous noise from the street or the entrancean apartment must reliably protect windows and doors. But the design of old wooden windows, firstly, is not able to cope with the level of noise that creates a busy city street, and, secondly, the gaps between the window opening in the wall and the window frame in Soviet-built houses are simply huge. The best way out is to install special soundproof insulating glass units. The technology of triple glazing, used in such double-glazed windows, allows to minimize the penetration of noise into the apartment. The gap between the double-glazed window and the wall is carefully sealed.
With the doors the situation is the same. The thicker and more massive the door - the less noise it lets in the apartment. In addition, the doorway is sealed with special rubber gaskets (all around the perimeter), a threshold is necessarily made, the space between the door frame and the opening is sealed with a cement solution. The door itself should fit snugly against the box.
When the apartment is provided with a sufficient level of noise insulation, then life becomes nicer: noisy neighbors and alarm in the yard - now no problem!
