The dambo breed got its name in honor of an elephant with big ears from a Disney cartoon. As you might have guessed, the dambo rat has an interesting shape of the ears - they are more rounded and planted lower than the rest of the breeds. So it turns out that unusual ears - this is the card of this breed.

But not only the ears are different from the accepted breed standards. The head of the dambo rats is broader and smoothed, than in other representatives of these rodents. The shape of the body is not elongated, as is the standard for the breed. It has a pear shaped form. Rats of this breed are not very active.

Species of rats: Sphinx

Hairless rats of the Sphynx breed are obtained by mutation. Their body is completely devoid of haircover. A small amount of wool is allowed on the abdomen, paws and head. When choosing a sphinx rat, pay attention to her body. The skin should not have any scars or spots.
