Christmas broth (Uzvar)
The name of the drink comes from the word"Brew", because the dry fruits and berries for the brewing in most cases are brought to a boil, but do not boil, or even simply boiled with boiling water. In Russia, the name "vzvar" became more common, and in Ukraine - "Uzvar".
Chest, unlike ordinary compote, is prepared withoutsugar, sweetening the drink with liquid honey. Like a kutya, a vodka is a must for a traditional Christmas table. Today we will learn how to cook a real Christmas carver.
Christmas brew from dried fruits
To prepare a narrow-cut from dried fruits, let's take:
- Dried apples - 100 g
- dried pears - 100 g
- prunes - 100 g
- raisins - 50 g
- honey - ¾ tbsp.
- water - 5 l
Dried fruits, pour water and add honey. We pour raisins into a pan, cover with a lid and cook on medium heat for an hour. Ready to brew insisted for 3-4 hours, then cooled and served on the table.
Apple Cheese With Honey
To prepare apple nectar with honey we take:
- Dried apples - 200 g
- honey - 4 items of l.
- water 1.5 liters

- starch - 2 tablespoons
- water - 1 l
For such a broth, dried pears andapples, prunes, raisins and cherries. We take them approximately in equal proportions. Dried fruits are washed and poured cold water. Add sugar and cook the knot on a very slow fire, until the fruits and berries become soft. Starch is diluted with water, poured into a hot knot, brought to a boil and cooled.
