Fruit compote
What compote to pamper yourself in the summer heat: apple or cherry? Peach or apricot? And why not try to prepare compote-assorted from different types of fruits and berries? The country of the Soviets will tell you how to do it fruit compote.






Fruit compote with vanillin



In fruit compotes often add a variety of spices, for example, vanilla and cinnamon. We suggest you to prepare a fragrant fruit compote with the addition of vanillin. For this we will need (per 1 liter of water):



  • 100 g of apples

  • 100 g of peaches

  • 100 g of grapes

  • 80 g of honey

  • pinch of vanillin


All my fruits in warm water. Cut the apples into halves and remove the cores. Peaches are also cut in half and take out the bones. Berries of grapes are cut off from a twig.

Fold the fruit in an enamel saucepan, pour cold water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cook for 10 minutes, add honey, mix and cook for another 5 minutes on low heat.



At the very end of cooking, we put vanillin, turn off the fire and let the compote to steep for about 20 minutes.



Fruit compote with cinnamon and cardamom



Very unusual and delicious fruit compote is obtained from the original mixture of fruits with the addition of cardamom and cinnamon. To prepare a fruit compote, with a flavor reminiscent of the stories from "1001 Nights", we will need:



  • 2.5 liters of water

  • 1 peach

  • 1 pear

  • 300 g of pulp of fresh melon

  • 100 g of dates

  • half a lemon

  • 0.5 tbsp. Sahara

  • 2-3 seeds of cardamom

  • cinnamon stick


Remove the peel from the lemon, in a separate bowlsqueeze out the lemon juice. Finiki thoroughly rinsed with water and thrown to a colander to water the glass. A peach and a pear, from a peach we remove a stone, from a pear - seeds. We cut the pear, peach and melon into pieces.



We bring the water to a boil, put the dates, sugar,lemon zest and spices. We cook for two minutes on low heat. Add fruit and cook for another three minutes. At the end of the cooking, pour the lemon juice and remove the pan from the fire.



The pan with the ready compote is covered with a lid and left for a while, so that the beverage is cooled and brewed. Before serving, compote must be filtered.



Fruit compote for the winter



Do not forget to close a few cans of fruit compote for the winter. You can, for example, prepare an easy-to-prepare compote-assortment of peaches, pears and grapes. It consists of such ingredients:



  • 2 liters of water

  • 1 kg of peaches

  • 800 g of sugar

  • 400 g of pears

  • 200 g of dark grapes


Peaches, peeled, peeled, removedand cut into slices. Pears are also mine and are peeled, but cut into halves. We also cut the washed grapes into halves and remove the bones. Then we prepare the syrup. We bring the water to a boil, add sugar and boil for ten minutes.



In sterilized cans we stack the fruitand pour hot syrup. Pasteurize the cans at a temperature of 85 degrees (a quarter of an hour for liter cans, half an hour for three liter). Then tightly sealed jars with compote and turn upside down until completely cooled.



Fruit compote for the winter: the second option



Here is another version of fruit compote for the winter. This fruit compote is made from apples, pears and plums. For its preparation, we will need such components (per one three-liter jar):



  • apples - 3-4 pcs.

  • pears - 1-2 pcs.

  • plums - a small handful

  • sugar - 1 tbsp.


Fruit my and prepare (remove the stone,if necessary, peeled off). Put the fruit in pre-sterilized three-liter jars. Fill the fruit with boiling water, cover the jars with covers and leave for 20 minutes.



Drain the water from the cans into a saucepan, add sugar and bring to a boil. Fill the hot fruit syrup and roll the cans with lids.
