Hospital on vacation is a rather burning topic, because the disease after going on vacation is not soalready rare. While we live a certain working rhythm, the body gets used to working according to the established schedule, maximizes the protective forces and tries to overcome stresses. As soon as we go on holiday, and the active activity is replaced by calm and silence, immunity is undermined, and there are high chances of getting sick. And from accidents, alas, no one is immune.



Does the employer have to pay you sick leave? It depends on the type of vacation. If you went on another paid vacation, according to Article 124 of the Labor Code of Russia you have the right to extend your current vacation or reschedule your vacation for a different period of time. For this you need to issue and provideto the employer a sick-list confirming temporary incapacity for work. After recovery and closure of the sick leave sheet, you can extend the annual paid leave for the number of calendar days of your disability.



In addition, the sick leave does not deprive you of the right to receive temporary disablement allowance. This benefit is issued after presentationof the sick-list and is calculated in accordance with the established procedure. You can apply for a sick leave card during your vacation, and immediately after that you can expect to receive benefits. If there is a note on violation of the regime in the sick-list, according to the law, the sick-list is paid only until the day of the violation.



If you are after the next vacationduration of 28 days you submit a sick leave, no special order is required to extend the next paid leave. If you decide to add the remaining days due to illness to the next next vacation or use them during the current working year, you need to write to the employer in writing. If he agrees, it will be formalized vacation tip and an appropriate decree was issued. Having certified the decree with your signature, you thereby agree to withdraw from the leave.



After that you have the right to attach unused days to the next vacation, use them during the current working year or replace them with monetary compensation (in which case you will need to write a statement).



Hospital on vacation is not paid and does not give the right to extend leave, if you are on leave without pay (leave at your own expense) or on study leave.



If you get sick during childcare leave, you will not get a sick leave andis paid. But if you work at home or on part-time leave during the maternity leave, the list of incapacity for work is issued and paid on a general basis. In any case, the sick leave during the leave to care for the child does not give the right to extend the leave.



The sick leave is not issued during the vacation and, accordingly, is not paid if the loss of legal capacity has occurred due to the reason alcohol or narcotic intoxication.



If you have made a sick leave care for a sick child or other family member, such a sick man during the holiday is not paid and does not give you the right to extend the leave.
