Feeding baby by month

From competent complementary feeding of crumbs in the first monthslife largely depends on his health and taste preferences in the future. The first six months the baby is fed by mother's milk or, for some reason, adapted by a milk formula. But after 6 months it's time to give the baby to try other food.

First feeding rules

Parents learn that their child is ripe for complementary feeding on such basic signs:

  • he sits on his own;

  • shows interest in what adults eat;

  • the baby had the first milk teeth.

Earlier pediatricians urged parents to inject intoration of a fortnight infants over a few drops of apple juice. Later, nutritionists proved the harm of early feeding and now doctors advise to introduce children to new food not earlier than 5.5 - 6 months from the date of their birth. This age depends on whether the child was on natural or artificial feeding. If the mother gave the baby breast milk, then introduce the lure recommended for six months, and if the baby was eating the adapted mixture, it is better to start feeding with 5.5 months.

Let's look at a few recommendations.

If your baby has reached the legal age, thisdoes not mean that you need to start giving him adult food on a strictly certain day. Better wait for the moment when he himself will show interest in what is in your plate.

The lure should be introduced gradually. Start with a half teaspoon, if the crumb did not manifest allergic reactions - gradually increase the portion.

Do not give chad more than one new product fortime, because if he has diathesis, it will be difficult to determine the source of the allergy. In addition, unadapted stomach and intestines can not cope immediately with several kinds of unusual food.

Carefully choose a diet, remember that the child can eat not all.

Do not make the crumb eat, if he does not want to.
