If the child does not eat well?

If a child does not eat well, this can be a problem forall family. In the course are different ways: the baby eats only for the "concert" of grandmother's tales, daddy dances, mother's songs ... And all around dream of only one thing: when will the baby start eating well?

First, let's figure it out, and is the child's poor appetite such a problem? After all, no one forces you to eat more, than they want. On the contrary, nutritionists recommend moderation in food! So why is pouring porridge into a child - is it almost the main means of manifesting maternal love and care?

Actually, a child can refuse to eat for only two reasons: either he is not hungry, or he is capricious (about how to deal with children's moods for food read here). And the methods of impact on the child, of course, will differ in these two cases.

All mothers know that children need to eat well, so that the body grows strong and healthy. But not everyone remembers that every child has his own needs. One kid needs a whole plate of porridge orsoup to eat, and another half of this portion will suffice to another. It's all about metabolism: someone is more intense, someone is slower. Forcing a child to eat more than he needs, parents force his digestive system to work literally "to wear." The body spends so much time and energy on digesting food, that there is no energy left for anything else. The baby becomes drowsy, sleepy, quickly gets tired.

Often appetite in children is lost during illness. This is absolutely normal. The human body is a very complex and, at the same time, self-adjusting system. He distributes forces to fight the disease and it does not need to spend energy on digesting food. Will pass the disease - the appetite will recover. To eat a child in the period of illness is better than light food, and parents often almost forcibly feed the child fatty meat broth, abundant food.

The regime is good, and the individual regime is even better. If the mother feeds the baby on a schedule, then sheIt is necessary to take into account the biological "hours" of your child. So-called "owls", for example, go to bed late and get up late. The "owl" organism is not yet ready to eat in the early morning - the digestive system has not yet "woken up". At such hours, one kind of porridge or omelet can cause disgust in the child. But if you offer the baby to eat in an hour and a half after waking, almost certainly the appetite will be on top.

The child is unlikely to want to eat soup for lunch, if before that he had eaten a liveror candy. Therefore, if you remove all the "snacks", then by the due time the child will properly get hungry and eat everything that his mother put on his plate.

The biggest mistake the parents of a child who they think is bad eating is forcible feeding. What would an adult be in the baby's place? Is it pleasant for him to be crushed by some disgusting dish under the stern gaze, for example, the chief? Forced feeding breeds a vicious circle. The more a child is forced to eat, the less he wants it and even more is forced to eat. But the food should not cause the child negative emotions, but should become for him a natural voluntary process. Then the child will eat with appetite and grow healthy.
