  14. Select link Advanced server settings.

  15. Select the checkbox Require SSL both for incoming and outgoing mail.

  16. From the network connection drop-down menu, select the Internet.

To set up the IMAP protocol for your Symbian S60 device, follow these steps:

  7. In the Incoming mail server field, type "imap.gmail.com" and click Next.

  8. In the outgoing mail server field, specify "smtp.gmail.com" and click "Next".

  9. Select the appropriate access point and click on the "Next" button.

  10. Enter a descriptive name as the mailbox name of the email account.

  11. After the mailbox is configured, select it in the settings window of the e-mail account.

  12. Select "Connection settings"> "Incoming e-mail".

  13. Enter your Gmail username (including "@ gmail.com") and password.

  14. For security reasons, select "SSL / TLS" (ports) and set the port to 993.

  15. Click on the "Back" button.

  16. Select "Outgoing e-mail".

  17. Enter your Gmail username (including "@ gmail.com") and password.

  18. For security reasons, select "StartTLS" (ports) and set the port to 587.
