How to sew home slippers-boots with your own hands: patterns
Slippers-boots are most like softhalf boots of the "uggs" type, slightly taller than the ankles. Such homemade boots are very comfortable, well suited for winter, because they protect the entire lower part of the foot, and do not fall off their feet like slippers-slippers. They are easier to care for.
You can sew them yourself with your own hands from any materials,but you need necessarily a more dense fabric and preferably washable or badly soiled for the sole (it's best to take leatherette or skin). You can sew and the sole of the old conventional slippers, but then you will not be able to wash this shoe, at least in the typewriter, and the rubber sole will heavily weight them.
If you want to make such home shoesit is for winter, and the floor in the house does not keep heat well, it will be wise to warm the slippers with sintepon. Usually, for making slipper-boots, choose fleece, less often velor, but it all depends on your preferences.
So, you will need:
pattern;
fabric for the sole (leather or leatherette);
fabric for the top and lining (fleece; iftake a fleece of two different colors, for example, the lighter for the outside and the brighter, or even with the print, for the lining, the slippers will look more original);
sewing machine, scissors, thread, tailor's pencil or chalk, measuring tape.
Pattern and measurements for sneakers
Take a pattern for boots-ugg, they are identical. In this pattern, three parts - the sole, the boot and the base. Measure your foot and adjust the pattern to fit your size. Lay out the fabrics and transfer them to the pencil or chalk patterns, by circling them.
You need two sets of fabric parts - for the top and for the lining, including the soles of the fabric, plus two soles of leather.
The left and right legs differ not only in thatthe cutout of the foot is turned in different directions (do not forget, therefore, to turn the pattern when you surround the second sole); The legs of a person are usually slightly asymmetrical. Of course, you sew soft home slippers, not hard leather shoes, but, nevertheless, it's best to make them as comfortable as possible and to measure each foot separately.
How to sew slippers with your own hands
Sew separately the details for the lining and separately for the top, so that two sets of boots are obtained.
To do this, fold the bootleg and the fabric sole,having combined them so that the sole lay on the bootleg combined with its long side on its base. Bend the corners inwards and sew on the top, then fold the whole detail - you should get a "sweep" of the boot with the midsole in the middle, - and sew again through the width, connecting the two sides. This piece, apparently already resembling a boot.
Repeat with the second boot and the second set.
Boots need to be inserted into each other, and between themto lay sintepon. You can squeeze this artificial insulator (on the inside), but excess seams interfere with home shoes, and sintepon - not bird fluff and usually does not get lost between the tissues. Nevertheless, try to lay it as flat as possible. Then turn the workpieces inside out and sew together the top and the "lining". Then sew a leather sole to the sole of the fabric of each shoe received.
Decoration
You can leave slippers as is, but their externalthe view is a space for imagination. In addition to the simplest options - for example, to widen the top of slippers with threads, appliqués or beads, - you can modify their appearance as a whole, for example sewing to the upper part of the boot tops, and to the socks - the "muzzle" from the eyes, mustache and spout. Then the slippers will turn, depending on the shape of the ears, into a rabbit, a dog or, if you choose a striped fabric, even in a tiger.
