New Year's baking: gingerbreadGingerbread - traditional New Year and Christmasbaking in many countries. Fragrant gingerbread with ginger in the form of sprouts, fir-trees, little people decorated with glaze, will help you in creating a festive atmosphere. Gingerbread cookies: 1 version


Here is a recipe for fragrant gingerbread with four kinds of spices. To prepare gingerbreads according to this recipe, we need the following ingredients:



  • 500 g of flour

  • 250 g of honey

  • 125 g of sugar

  • 100 g of butter

  • 100 g of powdered sugar

  • 40 ml of lemon juice

  • 10 g of cocoa powder

  • 10 g of a disintegrant

  • 1 egg

  • a piece of fresh ginger root about 3 cm long

  • 1 tbsp. l. carnations

  • 1 tbsp. l. dried coriander

  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon

  • 1/3 tsp. salt

Carnation and coriander grind in a coffee grinder orhand mill, and then sift through a sieve to get rid of too large pieces. Ginger is very finely chopped. If clove and coriander are already ground, take them less - 1 tsp. We mix all the spices (cinnamon, cloves, coriander, ginger). Should be about 1 tbsp. l. spicy mixture.


Honey, butter and sugar put in a saucepan, put ona small fire and heat until the sugar dissolves completely. Remove the pan from the plate. Add the resulting mixture of cocoa, salt and spices, let it cool to a warm state. Add the egg and mix. Mixed with baking powder, gradually mix in the dough. The finished dough is left for 3-4 hours.


We knead the dough until smooth,rolled out on a sheet of paper for baking and with the help of molds, we carve gingerbread. Bake gingerbread in the oven, heated to 200 degrees, for about 15 minutes.


Ready gingercakes decorate the glaze. For its preparation, mix in a bowl of lemon juice and powdered sugar. Do this gradually, so that the glaze does not turn out to be too liquid or too thick. If desired, you can tint the icing with a liquid food coloring so that the gingerbread cookies turn out to be multicolored.


Instead of lemon juice, you can use water or milk, but in this case, the glaze can get too luscious. We put the glaze in the cornet and paint our gingerbread.


Gingerbread cookies: 2 option


In this variant, we will use chocolate glaze to decorate gingerbread, and the dough itself will not be so spicy, because besides ginger we will not use other spices. Take these products:



  • 350 g of flour

  • 180 g of creamy sugar

  • 100 g walnuts

  • 100 g butter for dough + 1 tbsp. l. - for glaze

  • 100 g of dark chocolate

  • 100 ml 20% cream

  • 2 eggs

  • 3 tbsp. l. light honey

  • 2 tsp. ground ginger

  • 2 tsp. baking powder

Flour, ginger and baking powder is mixed in a largebowl. Sliced ​​with small pieces of oil add to the bowl and mix until the dough begins to resemble bread crumbs. Add to the bowl grated walnuts, egg, honey and sugar. Mix the smooth dough directly in a bowl, cover with a lid and put it in the refrigerator for half an hour.


Roll out the dough on the flour-poured table untilthickness 1 cm. Using molds, we cut out gingerbread. We lay the baking tray with culinary parchment, put gingerbread on it and put it in the oven, heated to 200 degrees. Bake gingerbread cookies for 15 minutes, then take out of the oven and let it cool.


While the gingerbread cookies cool down, we prepare the icing. Break the tile of black chocolate into pieces and melt in a water bath. Add the cream and butter and mix until smooth. Let the glaze cool down and apply on gingerbread with a brush. Before serving gingerbread to the table, we wait until the glaze dries.
