There is nothing easier than to cook a delicious and healthy drink from rhubarb - compote. You will need such ingredients:
300 g of rhubarb
1.5 liters of water
1 small lemon
70 g of sugar

So, let's tell you how to brew compote. Clean and wash the petioles of the rhubarb. Slice them into small pieces. Wash the lemon, cut the zest from it and squeeze out the juice. Lemon zest, juice and rhubarb are put in a saucepan, add water. Put the pan on the fire and cook the compote for 20 minutes. Add the sugar. Let the compote cool down, then strain it. You can drink your compote.

And here's another great recipe for compote from rhubarb. You will need such ingredients:
250 grams of rhubarb
150 g strawberries
half a lemon
2 liters of water
80 g of sugar
Purified and washed rhubarb cut into smallpieces. Put the pieces of stalks in a saucepan, add water, cut into slices of lemon and sugar. Simmer the compote for 10 minutes over low heat. Wash the washed strawberries in half, add them to compote and bring to a boil. Then turn off the heat and allow the compote to stand for another 2 hours.

Even ordinary dried fruits can be added to the compote with rhubarb. As a result, you get a very useful vitamin drink that perfectly quenches thirst. To prepare a compote with this recipe, you will need:
500 grams of rhubarb
5-6 tbsp. l. Sahara
1/2 tbsp. raisins
peeled halves of lemon
1.5-2 liters of water
To make this compote, you only need to use the lower part of the petioles, which has a pink color. Wash the stalks, peel them off the skin. Rinse the rhubarb into cubes.
Boil the water, add sugar to it. Allow the water to boil for 5 minutes. Then add pieces of rhubarb and raisins. Cook the compote for another 5-10 minutes. Then remove the compote from the fire, add the lemon zest to it. Cover the pan with a lid and allow the compote to steep.
Compote of rhubarb, apples and red currant

Compote for the winter can be harvested from any berries and fruits. They will only emphasize the sourish taste of the drink and give it a certain flavor. So, you will need these products:
2.5 liters of water
500 g of sugar
300 g of sweet apples
1 kg of rhubarb stalks
300 g of red currant
lemon peel
cinnamon
From the water and sugar, prepare the syrup: boil the water, add sugar, cinnamon and lemon zest. Boil the water for 5 minutes.
Wash the petioles of the rhubarb, cut them into slices. Chop the rhubarb and soak in cold water for 10-15 minutes, so that extra acid comes out of it. Also, prepare the apples: wash them, cut them into slices and remove the core. Wash the red currant and dry it.
In prepared cans for compote putpieces of rhubarb, apples and red currants (you can with twigs). Pour the syrup into the jars, cover them with boiled lids. Place the jars in a pot of hot water for sterilization. Sterilization in boiling water 3-liter cans with compote for 30 minutes. Then the lids can be rolled up, and the jars can be turned upside down and cooled.
By the way, for making a refreshing drink fromrhubarb, which you can drink in the summer, you can add spices in any of the recipes: vanilla, cinnamon or ginger. From this drink will get a spicy flavor.
