Jam from the petals of roses

Rose is the most beautiful and popular flower. Some varieties are widely used in cosmetology and perfumery. The aroma of this flower is incomparable. And very few people know that the rose has also medicinal properties. In ancient times, curative syrups, extracts and oils were prepared from petals.

Cooking method:

- prepare the syrup. To do this, boil the water, pour sugar and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring. Then filter and cool;
- pour the syrup petals and bring to a boil on high heat. Then reduce heat and cook on a quiet fire for 10 minutes, stirring constantly and taking off the foam;
- pour the first syrup and cook another 15-20 minutes before thickening, then pour into prepared sterilized jars and roll.
Delicious jam for the winter is ready!

How to brew jam from rose petals
To make the jam especially tasty, you need to follow certain rules:
- use only home roses that have not been chemically treated and not fertilized with harmful impurities to the body;
- cook it in an enamel saucepan, as iron and metal utensils will spoil the aroma;
- it is important not to digest, otherwise the color will turn dark and dull;
- if you add a little petals of a dark red rose, the color will turn out to be particularly saturated. But it's important not to overdo it, as the dark rose is hard and the jam will lose its tender structure;
- should be filled in a small container. After opening the can, the aroma is weathered;
- if you add a little cinnamon or a slice of lemon, the taste will be just extraordinary!
