Stacking of artificial stone
Artificial stone designed for decorationinternal and external walls of buildings. This material is much cheaper than natural stone, and so today it enjoys such popularity. In this article we will tell you how to proceed artificial stone laying.

First of all, it should be noted that There are two ways of mounting such a material. The first method involves splicing the seams, andthe second is their absence. When using jointing stitches, stones are installed at a distance of 1-2 centimeters from each other. This method is considered more common, because it significantly saves consumables.

With seamless installation The stones must be very closely adhered to each other. The solution is applied only to the back surfaceproducts, and all the surplus is removed by the trowel. Of course, laying an artificial stone involves cutting the material. This can easily be done with the help of an ordinary Bulgarian.

Before the beginning of the cladding works A special grid is attached to the wall, on which a thin layer of solution is applied. Next happens stone processing for better fit. The solution is applied to the stone by a layer of 1.5 cm. First, corner elements are installed, and then - flat ones. After laying the joints are filled with cement mortar.

It should be noted that the surface area thatcovered with an artificial stone, calculated by multiplying the height of sections of the walls by the length. Further, the area of windows and doorways is subtracted from the result. The required number of corner elements is calculated by measuring the lengths of the outer corners to be trimmed. As for the number of planar elements, it is sufficient to calculate it multiply the length of the elements installed in the corners by 0.2. The result is subtracted from the totalarea of the surface to be coated. Such a calculation is considered quite accurate, but it is always necessary to have an additional number of both planar and angular elements.

Stacking of artificial stone can be made on any surface with the help of special mastics and glue or conventionalcement mortar. If you need to lay a stone on a wooden surface, it must first be covered with waterproofing material, for example, pergamon - waterproof construction paper. It is placed horizontally overlapping 4centimeter. Further, a plaster grid is fixed, which must necessarily have a protection against corrosion. To lay a stone on a concrete or brick wall, it is not necessary to use a waterproofing layer. After applying the solution, the stone is fixed in the right place and in the desired position for 30 seconds.

Separately, we need to talk about the processing of an artificial stone laid on external walls. Such material is necessary apply a special protective primer. Such processing is recommended not to be performedless than once a year. The primer for processing can be found in any store of building materials, and it should be applied with the help of a conventional brush. The main thing - Before processing, rub stones with a damp clothto remove dust and small debris.

As you could see, laying the artificialstone - a fairly simple process, which everyone can cope with. However, if you are not sure that you can correctly perform all the described actions, we recommend that you seek help from specialists.
