Blanks from green peas - recipes for the winter

1. We extract peas from the pods, wash it in water, then pour cold water and add sugar and salt (1 liter of water - half a teaspoon of sugar and the same amount of salt). Bring to a boil and cook for about 25-30 minutes. It is important to monitor during cooking so that the peas do not boil.

We filter the water from under the peas through gauze, collected in several layers, again bring to a boil and fill the jars with green peas. Sterilize for about 40 minutes and roll. Green peas are cooked for 15-20 minutes, during this time it is necessary to make a marinade: for 1 liter of water - add a tablespoon of salt and two teaspoons of sugar and 200-300 ml of vinegar (6%). The marinade is brought to a boil, then the peas are filtered and poured with marinade, boiled for a few minutes, and then packaged in pre-sterilized hot jars.
3. Method of freezing. One of the simplest recipes for harvesting green peas. The unripe peas are poured for a couple of minutes with boiling water and cooled in a cold one. With the help of a watercolor, water is separated, and peas are placed on a towel (this is done for drying). Once the grains have dried, packaged, tightly knotted and stored in a freezer.
4. Pickled green peas. You can marinate and grains, and whole pods with peas. First, the green peas are soaked in cold water and is there for several hours. Then it should be problanshirovat in boiling water for 1-2 minutes, while in water add a little bit of citric acid.

How to Dry Green Peas
There are two main methods: drying with "blades", i.e. together with a pod and drying, actually, the grains themselves. In the first variant fresh, elastic pods are selected, washed and blanched in a colander over boiling water. Then the pods are allowed to cool, cut into parts and laid out on a baking sheet in a thin layer. Dry at a temperature of 60-70 degrees. AT
The second option: grains of peas are brought to a boil in salted water, after which they are lightly dried in a colander and poured onto a baking tray. Also dried in an oven at a temperature of up to 70 degrees. Peas are used for drying, which is collected about 15 days after its flowering.
