Ingredients:
- feijoa - 500 g
- water - 2 l
- sugar - 150-200 g
Cooking method:
- Feijoa must be washed and then peeled and peeled on the sides.
- Put the berries in an enamel vessel of the necessary capacity, pour them with water and add the desired amount of granulated sugar to taste.
- Put the mass on the fire, bring to a boil and hold on medium heat for 8-10 minutes. Remove the formed foam with noise.

- citric acid - 0.25 p. l.
Cooking method:
- Rinse the berries thoroughly under a stream of running water, cut the "tails" on the sides. It is not necessary to peel the peel - it will perfectly shade the sweetness of taste.
- Prepare the jars: wash them with water, then sterilize. Spread the fruits on the banks by about one third of their volume.
- Fill the jars with boiling water for the rest of their volume, let it brew for several hours. This will allow the water to be soaked with the taste and aroma of feijoa.
- Drain the liquid in a saucepan, add allprepared portion of granulated sugar. In general, the amount of sugar should be calculated based on your own experience and preferences. Someone likes a more sweet version of compote, someone likes tartness or sourness. In short, focus solely on your needs and requirements. Bring the water to a boil, lower the gas and cook the syrup over a slow fire for about half an hour. Five minutes before switching off, add citric acid, thoroughly mixing it in the total mass.
- Fill the jars with berries with the resulting syrup, roll them, wrap them in a warm blanket and leave them in this form for a day or two. Delicious compote of feijoa ready!
