Festive Meat Dishes

In many countries it is customary to submit to the New Year or Christmas table the festive meat dishes from poultry: baked whole duck, turkey, goose orthe thin end of a chicken. Christmas duck with oranges



Let's start, perhaps, still with the traditional New Year-Christmas dish - a baked duck. Do not be afraid, this is one of the simplest, but at the same time the most delicious recipes of the New Year's bird. To prepare this dish we will need:



  • duck - 1 pc.

  • oranges (depending on the size of the duck)

  • mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons

  • fine salt - 1 tsp.

  • Ground black pepper - 0,5 tsp.


Stir mayonnaise with pepper and salt. Rub the duck with the marinade. Oranges are cleaned, divided into lobules, if possible, we extract seeds from the lobules. Farshiruem orange slices duck and sew. We put the bird on a baking tray and bake for about an hour in an oven heated to 200 ° C.



Chicken in orange juice



You can cook with oranges and other festive meat dishes, for example, chicken in orange juice with honey and mustard. It turns out quite piquant and very tasty dish. For its preparation we take:



  • chicken weighing about 1.5 kg - 1 pc.

  • oranges - 3 pcs.

  • mustard - 3 tablespoons

  • honey - 2 tbsp.

  • olive oil - 2 tbsp.

  • Ground black pepper, salt, other seasonings - to taste


Mix mustard with honey (it is best to takemustard in the beans). We rub the chicken with this mixture and seasonings (salt, pepper, any other seasonings that you like). We put the chicken in a scallop or any other suitable dish. Oranges mine, cut into quarters, squeeze out the juice directly into the chicken, then put them inside. Sprinkle the chicken with olive oil.



Bake the chicken for about an hour in the oven,preheated to 200 ° C. From time to time, the chicken should be watered with the resulting juice. We remove the prepared chicken from the oven, wrap it in foil and leave it for 10 minutes. Then we shift the chicken into a dish and serve it with vegetables.



Liver with cherry sauce



The liver is rarely served to the festive table, and in vain - from the liver of the bird can get very tasty festive meat dishes. To cook, for example, a liver with cherry sauce, we will need such ingredients:



  • turkey or goose liver - 500 g

  • fresh or frozen cherry pitted - 200 g

  • liqueur, balm or other sweet alcohol - 60 ml

  • onions - 2 pcs.

  • flower honey - 2 tsp

  • salt to taste

  • flour for breading


Liver is washed, dried using papertowels and piled into a deep bowl. Fill with liquor or balsam (you can take any sweet alcohol) and lightly mix, so that each piece of liver was in a liqueur or balm.



We clean onions, cut into half rings andfry in a deep frying pan until golden brown. Add cherries (frozen cherries can be thawed) and honey, keep everything on fire until the cherry does not let the juice. Then merge the liqueur or balm into the frying pan, boil for 2-3 minutes and remove from heat.



Liver weap in flour and fry in another pan on high heat until cooked. Solim to taste. We spread the liver on a dish, pour a warm cherry sauce and serve it to the table.
